Limited Edition AOE Lenticular Coins..

    I just found out Perth Mint here in Australia are continuing the Limited Edition Transformers Coins for AOE but this time in 'Lenticular Coins'

    2014 Transformers 4 Lenticular Coins for Collectors | Coin News

    They are currently making 3 versions of them - Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Lockdown. They will be made out of 99.9% Silver.

    These are official products of Hasbro and Transformers AOE.

    Pricing of the individual coins is listed as AUS $14.55, or US $96.77. A three-coin bundle is also offered for AUS $286.36, or US $266.56.

    While these are cool, I can't see anyone paying that price for lockdown and a non-movie accurate car picture and they didn't even match up Bee to the right car lol.

    Yeah I noticed that also... Pretty disappointing, but still pretty cool though. If I was to get one I'd just get prime lol

    - Prime's robot mode isn't accurate, something's up with the chest and proportions
    - Bumblebee's alt-mode isn't accurate to the robot mode
    - Lockdown's vehicle mode isn't accurate to the film version of his alt-mode

    Not to mention the price is about five times the actual value of the coins in terms of silver prices...seems a bit high of a markup.

    Wait, are these legal currency? If not, they're definitely not "coins" in a legal capacity, these bullion pieces would be strictly silver bars.
