fellow transfans, i've finaly got myself the Lightwave prog that both Draven and Angry Scott use to make their fantastic 3D models. problem is that i got the Discovery Edition, and can't get anything done cuz of some restrictions so i was wondering if anyone (and i do mean anyone) knows how to get a full accessable Lightwave
Buy it. http://shop.newtek.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=7 And it looks like you get a free full upgrade to version 9 if you buy it now.
seems like it, *sigh* well, thanx for the help guys. i'll figure smth out later, in the mean time, hope u enjoy my hand drawn pics
It's really not, as it goes. Lightwave's price has been lowered recently, while the feature list keeps getting longer and longer.
at last, long have i waited for this! after pulling a few strings, doing some favours, i now have a ful accessable Lightwave 3D! now i can start living my dream! BWAHAHAHAHAHA *cough*cough*
My roomie bought Lightwave and the stuff he produces with it is pretty impressive. He did 3D work using LW in this co-lab we did:
Programs that actually do things tend to be expensive. Even Dreamweaver (about $300 when I looked) made me rethink that hope, and that's after seeing prices for Finale (music composition, I think there was a $400 student price), FinalCut Pro, and Protools ($1000 is what I was told by someone who bought one, but it also comes with hardware to hook up microphones). Guess if you know how to use them, you're serious enough to spend that much.
Indeed. I actually thought Cinema 4D was the cheapest of the big boys but £285 is a friggin' steal (assuming I read it correctly).
