Has anyone ever seen or purchased a life sized rub-sign? I'd love one for my car

That would be cool. But the heat(or cold)would make it not change anymore. Then you would just have a sticker on there.

Reprolabels would probably be the guys to ask.

This is wisdom you should listen too. Reprolabels would probably sell you one for way too much [custom pieces are like that] and then you'd be out of luck when the thermo-response feature goes south and out whatever "way too much" wound up being.

Yeah but it would be awesome while it lasted, but a shirt with it would be cool, would have to hang dry

Yeah I would think the closest you could get for a rub sign would be more like one of those hologram things.

I think the heat would mess that up too though.

I'd like one so the Autobot symbol can appear in the summer heat

It would stay visible though after the first summer. Also, I believe that air drag would also serve to reveal the logo so the only place you could realistically place it on your vehicle without it being ruined would be on the rear of the vehicle.

When I was working on my 62 Beetle I asked Aaron at Reprolabels about one. I was quoted $400 for one.

It would melt in the sun of summer, or crack in the cold. You would be better off getting a car sized label with it appearing to be the rub sign of your choice.

They do have those shirts that change colors with body heat.Just find that ink and get someone to airbrush it on some seat covers.
    Heres another idea.
Airbrush the symbols on your car with that color shifting paint. It would look great on a dark car because it wouldnt be noticable till you see it from different angles.

I have got one of those color changing shirts too. I've got a black and white Optimus shirt that turns red and blue

What about (for shirts anyways) those ones that change color in sunshine? I remember when those were extremely popular...I only got one shirt left like that (Dr Who one).

Since, as others have already said, the elements would damage a 'traditional' rubsign over time, perhaps it would be better to have something that just emulates a large rubsign.

How about an app for your computer tablet (or smartphone) that makes a faction logo appear in changing colours the more you rub the touch screen? Or you could have the tablet hooked up to a temperature sensor that makes the faction logo appear and then keeps changing the colour depending on what the ambient temperature is.

    Or both.

Dunno how much you'd fancy fitting a tablet to the body of your car though.

I don't know about one for a vehicle but one for a shirt would be cool, but I'd love ballcaps with the actual rubsign on the front of the cap.
