Fuck yeah! I had nearly talked myself into buying Super Ginrai for more than this will cost just so that I could justify buying Godbomber. Locked in with BBTS.

Ironic that BBTS sold Ginrai by himself for 149.99, and now the box set they're selling it for $165.00. Sucks for those who bought Ginrai prior before this announcement with BBTS or from another non Japan site.

Eh.. Im not in a rush to get this box set. Will patiently wait for my local toy seller to get pre orders in a couple of weeks time.

 

Already got the Siege on Cybertron coming from BBTS, plus Godbomber from a friend in Japan, so this is a pass for me. Would love if Takara just sold Cab and Minerva as part of a Headmaster set.

 

Excuse my ignorance, but I already have Ginrai and Godbomber, the separate Legends releases, is there anything unique abt this release that would distinguish it from the Legends versions??

 

Went ahead with a preorder and have my sealed Ginrai and God bomber up on eBay selling now for $150.

 

Comes with titan masters cab and minerva.

 

Godbomber will supposedly be chromed and includes the Cab and Minerva titan masters which are, so far, available nowhere else.

 

Still a huge dick move by Takara.

 

To be fair: bbts first sold Ginrai for around $90. When their supply dried up, they got more themselves essentially paying full retail in Japan and then reselling for the higher price. there was a lot of demand for it at first.

 

Ah ok I didn't know that part. I was checking the BBTS site and that's what they have him for sold out obviously.

 

I still wonder if that's what led Hasbro to include the Ginrai mold in the Seige boxset, or if that was just the plan all along?

It wasn't the plan based on early rumors/leaks, according to those it was supposed to be a delta Magnus colored hasbro powermaster prime and a deluxe iron apex (godbomber) instead of metalhawk

That can't be right. Godbomber/iron apex can't combine with power master prime, only the ginrai mold. So why would they have them both in the same box set?

 

You're not understanding. Originally the leaks claimed hasbro would produce their own deluxe scale version of the character that would combine with their version of the powermaster prime mold

 

They were gonna make a new deluxe sixed version of Godbomber/Apex? That sounds like it'd be really small, useless armor parts.
