They could always give them headmasters.
Part of me thinks the only thing holding Takara back with Liokaiser is they’re probably waiting until Star Saber & Deszaras are released, & they’ll do all them around the same time. I’d imagine Galaxy Shuttle from them would be just after, likely from an Astrotrain retool if he doesn’t get a new mold.
It’d make sense from a cross-selling point of view, & Takara does have a habit of releasing (or re-releasing) rivals around the same time. They rereleased Metroplex just before Trypticon was on sale there, & Devastator was put up for pre-order just before Omega Supreme was announced here (it was one of the things that made me think Omega was coming actually).
Which would make perfect sense as the themes so far have all been HMs
My wallet is screwed if all Victory toys are remade
all they would need to do to make an accurate liokaiser is to just retool POTP Starscream.
Lol. Shouldve been called Beastmasters right?
I totally read that as Beatmasters and had to take a double take considering the topic.
I’m what you would call a Beatmaster when it comes to Breastmasters.
I think it's silly that you are highlighting figures with either minor changes or "major changes" which amount to features (such as additional modes) that were added to them but can be ignored if the owner of the figure wants a G1 faithfulness (extra modes like a base mode which can simply be ignored if the owner of the figure doesn't like it). The same cannot be said for Sky Shadow. You cannot ignore his tank component and must either separate it from his jet component or incongruously attach it to the underside of the jet. Galvatron traditionally transforms into a laser cannon but was his TR figure was given a new spaceship mode. I don't see that as a big deal or a strike against my argument since the spaceship mode can be ignored by a G1 purist and you don't have to transform Galvatron into it, so said spaceship mode is simply a nice bonus.
It probably has to do with G1 accuracy since it wasn't faithful to G1, ergo, Takara opted not to release it. That and possibly mold fatigue since Sky Shadow is so obviously Overlord in different colors.
Alright this was fun watching multiple people participate but I think it's time to call this argument to a rest. No one seems to be budging and honestly while I do think one of you is right (I won't say who), it ultimately doesn't much matter. So summarize your argument in a final post on the subject and then take a break; do something creative, logical, or mind-numbing (whatever helps you reset your brain).
Anywho, back to Big Powered. As much as I like Roadfire being a Twin Twist retool, I do miss the spire shoulders he had in his G1 toy. Don't get me wrong, they kind of mimicked it and actually doing it would play havoc with the design, but it would have been cool.
Here's a thought; Thus far the only redeco of a Titan Class mold outside of slightly pimped out SDCC versions was Grand Max via TT Mall. Since they're doing this guy I wonder what the possibility of an LG EX Metrotitan is now.
That's unfortunate to hear. Nosecone is one of two versions I don't own but plan on getting.
And where would Jallguar go?
I'd put money on seeing Metrotitan once Grand Max and the reissue Metroplex are off the market.
I’d say make him a retool of TR Beachcomber and make it so he can attach somewhere
Leozack and Jallguar need to be all new molds in order to do Leokaiser the justice he deserves. And let's face it, the POTP Starscream is three shades of diarrhea dogshit, baby. No way should he be considered a candidate for a remold into Leozack.
POTP Starscream is horrible and should never be reused.
Why, specifically did people really detest that figure again?
Separate names with a comma.
