My copy has a mostly strong waist joint. It has only a slight forward-back motion when fully locked in bot mode. I have noticed it takes an almost excessive amount of force to the get the waist chain to click into place (it will actually -click- if you push it far/hard enough) and isn't floppy. A small piece of cardboard or plastic to shim just behind the waist chain Dai's upper body stops the forward-back rocking.

I can care less about the waist swivel. It was a nice thought but it's fairly impractical on this figure.

I like it a lot but that would require separating the two vehicles, to store it someplace in vehicle mode? which I dont want to do. Hoping it can attach some place else, I would really want these if so.

Could probably just plug it onto the arms on the jet, similar to the way Big Powered attached to Topspin and Twin Twist.

I guess, but then that weighs down the arms and makes them angle down

Are there pegs under the jet wings? Could attach them like missile pods?

That's a great idea but how much are these leg fillers and where does a person buy these at.

I did it with my custom Grand Max colored Cog. Most of it works out pretty well, but the wrist-mounted part stands off from the arm by a fair it, making it look odd from some angles. Overall, the situation leaves me wishing the FM/Metro mold just had more 5mm ports in general.

And also of great importance, a new waist. A waist shaped in a way that the torso fits snug against it to get rid of the wobble. If it completely blocked all waist swivel but made the connection tight without any wobble then I’d be fine without the waist swivel.

Seconded. There is definitely room for an upgrade kit for Dai Atlas to address his various flaws. That could take a nice looking figure and make it something truly special.

I'd love if someone produced a Micromaster-style Speeder and Drill Buster that could nest in Dai Atlas' legs to fill those gaps. I can't find a picture of them now, but someone on Twitter also posted some really nice 3D-printed (one-off) fillers that were modeled after the little Micro-Trailer transports that came with several figures from that era. I thought those were a really nice solution as well.

After playing around with him. I do think I'd pay up to $25 for some nice looking fillers that also looked cool in alt mode.

That's the other thing I was wondering about. The pics of the fillers show a separated tank and jet mode which probably means they got rid of the 'chain' connector piece. Could they have designed another way of connecting the two parts of the robot mode together?

Finally got my copy. I seem to have gotten a bad batch with Sonic Bomber and Roadfire. RF's hip clips don't clip due to the bits leaning to far outwards, and SB's cockpit-nose-backpack thing is extremely loose on the hinge. Dai Atlas has the standar waist wobble, but aside from that, he's fine.

    Altogether, love them.

Or they could create an "upgrade set" with some articulated hands that transform into gattling guns a sword and a few other things the figure doesn't need.
