    And... Patience FAIL :lol

Shipping my order... should've unwatched this thread the moment he came in stock.

On the bright side, I ended up also getting UW Baldigus to keep him company in the shipping box :ev:

Nippon-Yasan finally shipped out Godbomber. After asking for another $5 for shipping. :v

Yeah, it's unlikely I'll be ordering with them again.

What makes God Bomber even more depressing, finding that your Ginrai's right shoulder doesn't ratchet like it's supposed too.

Thank you it was a shout out to my first Optimus Prime and second transformer ever. He still transforms too, pretty happy with how he turned out, will eventually add more paint apps.

Maybe not a totally convincing jet but that was something that the original dealt with as well really.

I think it definitely can be possible. Most of the necessary engineering is already there, which leaves room for the body remoulds and any additional engineering required.

My drawing skills suck, so I can't really show how I imagine it would all work (I could try!). Best suggestion I can offer is to look at the underside of a combined jet Star Saber and compre it to a Magnus/PMOP in robot mode, trying to line up where everything is between the two.

I suppose the good thing about this is in case Takara makes one with a non-transforming jet, we know Perfect Effect can pick up the slack :lol

I have zero problem with mine, but I'm one not to Leave my figures in crazy poses either.

And this one just arrived and funny enough, just when I managed to sell it here in Peru.

    20170606_174948[1].jpg
Masterforce was my first entry into the Japanese continuity. I remember renting a VHS during the mid-90's since the seller told me it was about Transformers and I ended-up wondering: "Wait, why is this guy turning into Optimus Prime?". Still, I ended-up liking this incarnation and I obviously needed this figure.

Godbomber is certainly an interesting looking vehicle. Is obviously nothing that you will ever see in real life but we all know what its actual purpose is.

    20170606_175009[1].jpg
And the playability is pretty solid as well. I love the many uses it brings, particularly how you can put three Titan Masters as its pilots.

    20170606_175151[1].jpg
And here it is with its classic companion. They look really good together although this reminded me how awful is to transform Super Ginrai in its vehicle mode due to the multiple parts that need to be aligned.

    20170606_180610[1].jpg
It has a pretty imposing vehicle mode with very little kibble aside from the wings. Is a really clean figure with solid posability.

    20170606_180850[1].jpg
And here he is in a pretty blurred picture along with Super Ginrai. Shockingly enough, Godbomber has the more solid engineering due to a better balance in his robot form. This also reminded me the flaws in the Super Ginrai mould, particularly how weak the ankles and overall legs are since they can sustain the weight of the figure.

    20170606_184940[1].jpg
Finally what everyone was waiting for. This people, THIS is a magnificent looking toy. None of the pictures (including this one) do it justice. Once that you have this in your hands you realize how beautifully everything comes together. The person who designed the look of this figure was clearly inspired. Easily one of the best examples about how to create a wonderfully imposing idea.

The execution of that idea though, is another completely different thing. Super Ginrai's ankles and balance issues were already a problem in the figure itself, once that you put a lot of stuff on top of him things clearly become even worse with the figure constantly losing the fight to gravity so you need to put it in just the right pose to keep in its place. The transformation is not so fun either since you have to put Godbomber's torso in a very specific form to make it work.

That being said, I still love how this thing looks and the amount of weapons it has reminds me of several Third Party offerings. Hell, this easily surpasses any 3P work based on the character of Ginrai. This is without a doubt one of the best purchases I had recently.

However, as I already mentioned I just sold this and I will have to get rid of it due that I'm planning to get the Takara Tomy Mall exclusive version which supposedly has chrome. I just hope that it looks great indeed and hopefully they fix some of the issues with Ginrai's legs.

That's pretty clever, but once you do that you can't get the arms to pose down at Godbomber's sides. Feh... the spinny wings are really pissing me off far more than they should be. They really need to peg in place in some fashion.
That's what I'm screaming. I'm having trouble envisioning a solution that's both unobtrusive and easy to remove/disengage when it's time to transform into a different mode.

How about using the 2 blackgun of super ginrai to stabilise it? I tried this and it is very very stable. Not causing stress on any part on the plastic. 20170529_152153.jpg 20170529_152017.jpg 20170529_152327.jpg

Got Godbomber today but been too busy messing with it to take pics

Ended up with a set with great QC and nice tight tolerances. Actually need to widen the missile tip port as it's way too tight to try to force that tiny peg into it. The wings still swing freely at the shoulders, but have some decent friction that it's not bothersome. Alt mode holds together well. I'm pretty happy with mine!

FFS that was excruciating. One time each would have sufficed. And did Ginrai shit a helmet out at like 1:20? Fell out of his ass from all the bullshit that dude was doing to the figure, WTF man. I think he liked making the figure stroke the sword to stop himself, all that hand gesturing and pointing must have gotten the guy off or something.

I get pointing QC things out, but damn...:horse:

I came to the thread to see if my disappointment was reflected by other owners and yes, I see that it is. I too has ended up figuring out the heel trick outlined here by @pocus and yes, it definitely helps a lot. It's inelegant, though, and of course does not address the poor fit of the armour around the back of Ginrai. Can't say I'm a fan of God Bomber in bot mode, either, and the 'fix' here to secure his arms doesn't really satisfy either. The whole thing does look nice on the shelf when combined but part of the joy of Titans Return, for me, is the play factor, and this guy sadly falls way short.
