What is that first one? It looks about Earthrise Optimus scaled to me.

It was brought up in the mini-comic included with the Takara Legends (LG-EX) release of the Generations figure. Six-Gun is apparently the two red guns that release included (which would have been his legs on the G1 figure), which can also fly. No idea if he's also the black guns but Metroplex doesn't appear to interact with those like he does the red ones or his arm cannon. I can't read Japanese, though, so I can't get anything extra from the comic that wasn't mentioned on TFWiki.

Which one is it then (other than saying it was from a few years ago)?

I really thought it was Liketoys Metroplex where revisions were made from being just 3d printed parts and opting to go all in on the lighting.

    Thanks. :thumb

His name is King Kong Play Boy.

Apparently that Metroplex he did he also downsized to 50cm tall. Photo below of that next to TR Trypticon:

This and Tryp would definitely be statement pieces or collection centerpieces. I don't think anyone would be getting a whole lot of play out of them, more of a set it up somewhere and admire the engineering beauty and bask in the satisfaction of having a once in a lifetime collection piece.

    Absolutely agree.

I don’t have Metroplex in my collection. If LR are pushing ahead with their OS version of the Generations one I might bite. Although 120cm is probably too large going by shots like this and will likely be the same with LR:

Came across this whilst perusing King Kong Play Boy’s work who I’ve been corrected did the Metroplex similar to Liketoys creation. Check out this little Trypticon  . Yowsers!

    I want one! Lol

I’ve been looking to see. Translation isn’t great via my phone in the Baidu site.

I’d be happy to buy either the 68cm or 50cm Metroplexes he has done. They will slot in with my collection.

If all these Metroplexes were to be available for us to buy I wonder if we would see a number of Generation Metroplexes being put up for sale…

Can we expect any further updates soon re: LR Metro?

I think Metroplex is supposed to be a tiny bit taller compared to Trypticon.

Everyone talking about other figures and versions but not the one advertised. Maybe the like toys one should be discussed in the liked toys thread?

What kind of fix will the hip ratchets in that one require?

Skim reading and not digesting the whole thread. I hadn’t realised there was another creator of an OS / massive scaled Metro. @mikequillm had corrected me on this as I thought it was just an older version of Liketoys. From looking on the Baidu site, came across the downscaled version. Hadn’t dawned on me he had done two downsized metroplexes. At this time, I’d take any of those to fill in the gap in my collection of that character. Trying to get my head around the 120cm size bots and whether that is doable for me.

Haha. Good point. Shock absorbers from either a car or motorbike perhaps?

I agree and despite posting about the other metroplexes, I have referenced the Lewin Resources one in the same posts. I wasn’t aware that the first post on the first page was updated last Sunday for LR Metro.

How do you feel about the aesthetics of the LR Metro and do you think the more stylised version works with a G1 MP collection or even Legends to mainline scaled collections?

I think the LR Metro can work with them all. I’d like to see more photos of the LR Metro with other figures. I wouldn’t mind seeing the articulation in the legs and feet as well. If this is an OS of the generations one, will it provide better articulation and stability for posing. Will there be new engineering for this…

What are your thoughts on the starting price for a Metroplex of this size?

I'd say $1000 shipped, maybe even less
