Thinking about this + FT Fort Max and others....

I'd rather have a 30" ish version - so it's noticably bigger than everything else to imply the scale, but small enough to be reasonably priced to buy, ship and will fit into collector's spaces, while still conveying the size over other figures (every city bot is out of scale, so don't try and make it work).

A 30" ish version of the MakeToys Metroplex, a Scorponock and a Fort Max would be perfect.

 

I have a spare room.. I guess he can have his own room, his own bed even.

I'd say would you rather buy a brand new 65" OLED TV or this more of a reasonable mode of thought.

If by some miracle it's £400 or less I'd likely buy it on the spot. But I think north of £850 isn't something I'd be that surprise by.. lets be honest have you seen so much a sideshow collectable life size darth vader is = and that isn't even the best life size vader you can get by a long way.

So yeah when they say it's £1300 I will be doing a sad picachu face. I might "consider paying £650" if I can manage it... but to be honest it's a purchase I need to plan for I can't just drop that kinda money.

I'm already thinking Hasbro's going to do Primus at some point so I best be thinking about that too as a distinct possibility.

It would be some what hilarious if this had been a 4 foot tall Unicron though I will say.

To be honest if I did buy this it would be Hasbro's fault for shipping repeated numbers of substandard toys through out 2022 & putting me off preordering much anymore.

 

Are you familiar with what their previous and current output has cost ($300-420) and what it costs to ship by ShowZ (free to the US, $30 to UK)?

I was exagerating for comic effect but the big boy isn't 120cm tall & he is also posted in vehicle mode so has a lower "weight by volume shipping".
I think the delivery driver is going to need to put this thing on wheels to get it to someone's door.

Prime went for $400, this will be a bit bigger, so $450 to $500 possibly.

 

Did the Lewin Prime get Free shipping? I know some stores tend to restrict free shipping on really big pieces, so not sure what Show.z did with that.

Depending on how much they've improved on the T30 design, which I never liked the proportions of, I could well try saving up for this  

Shelving him is a non-issue for me; he'll just stand on the floor. I can see how those of you who like your TFs in glass cabinets could be facing a problem, though.

My collecting is IDW1-themed so no Metroplex will ever truly be in scale (he contains entire residential districts under some writers) but having him twice the height of Siege Omega Supreme would be very much good enough.

I know it's not exactly what you asked, but I got my Lewin Atlas from Chosen Prime in 2018. They charged $360 and it was shipped free.

never happening because the picture above is a 3d printed personal project one off custom figure ....it's not the liketoys version which is smaller ( which is also not happening by the looks of it )

that's a different version but i am pretty sure that was still like_toys that could have been his first entry into the large scale 3d metroplex world.

 

Man, when I was a kid if someone told me the Transformers community would be like this I would never have believed it. These are pretty cool times to be a fan. This is gonna be cool. I still like my Master Made version.

 

I think it will be an OS KO for sure. The R&D for a totally brand new one would be too much I think.
