The official kit has only one, and it's on the multigate A runner which has several parts in different colors.
    http://dalong.net/reviews/cg/cgh306/p/cgh306_r01.jpg

I see what they did here is break those runners up individually. See how you've got multiple "A" runners. It looks like they gave you an extra visor.

I think his "corruption" was just metaphorical. My impression is that he failed his job as Meijin, to be a brand ambassador, instead adopting a brutalistic "win at all costs" philosophy.

It took me a while to realize that the decals were digital camo.
I thought you were censoring out the decals and pixelating them.

Well, it's also being photographed through the protective tissue paper sheet, which muddles them further.

Ah, thanks, that makes more sense given what that corpo president forced the third Mejin into doing.

Finished the RG Unicorn TWC build. Original Unicorn is on the left. The only real differences is the decals, new open hands, and thrusters to better match the statue.

It's kinda amusing that a lot of these decals don't even show up on the statue in Odaiba.

Finished the build today. The neck joint was still unsteady, so I reinforced it with more superglue around the outside. I'll attach the head tomorrow. If it doesn't hold, it's pinning time.

Well, at least I can do this:

Some quick pictures of my recently finished HGUC Zaku III:

    IMG_20240614_200036.jpg

Obviously for something from 2000, build-wise this kit is pretty outdated by today's standards. That said, I'm still pretty satisfied with how this one turned out and I love the chonky look of this particular design.

    IMG_20240614_195952.jpg

Of course now that I had these 2 together, here it is next to a standard-size GM Custom:

    Oh, yes.

Wait, I still have to panel line this thing. Guess I'm not out of the woods yet.

I love how all my RGs look with decals, but I still appreciate the simplicity and minimalism of keeping the kit clean. Glad you were able to fix that neck joint.

I have a noob question…can you top coat panel lining with Micron Pigma pens or will they just run?

The Epyon is finished! I didn't get any work done yesterday(Thursday) since I was totally drained from the past week in the field and moving equipment to the next site.

I got the wings done this morning.

    62e9135d-3252-4ad4-bc5c-3d13e516eb6d-1_all_46164.jpg

The red trim was awkward to line into place but are a firm fit.

    62e9135d-3252-4ad4-bc5c-3d13e516eb6d-1_all_46166.jpg

There is certainly heft to them.

    Finally, the head.

    62e9135d-3252-4ad4-bc5c-3d13e516eb6d-1_all_46179.jpg

The color separation for the mask was brilliant, and the contrast with the neon green eyes makes them glow under direct light.

    62e9135d-3252-4ad4-bc5c-3d13e516eb6d-1_all_46182.jpg

Some accent, and paint, to detail the helmet.

    62e9135d-3252-4ad4-bc5c-3d13e516eb6d-1_all_46181.jpg

I almost had a catastrophic cement bubble on the crest, but I managed to smooth it out with a moist cotton point.

    20240615_093415.jpg

EDIT! Pic of the head showing how it smoothed over.

    62e9135d-3252-4ad4-bc5c-3d13e516eb6d-1_all_46184.jpg

    Attached! That completes the Epyon.

    62e9135d-3252-4ad4-bc5c-3d13e516eb6d-1_all_46188.jpg

My 280th completed Gunpla, and 21st Real Grade.
Overall thought: Out. Standing. I'm glad I skipped the Master Grade EW, this is the superior kit.

I hadn't realized how big the beam blade for its saber is. It makes it difficult to get the whole thing in frame.

    62e9135d-3252-4ad4-bc5c-3d13e516eb6d-1_all_46185.jpg

Meantime, I'm debating whether to preorder the EffectWing version of the Sturm Un Drang expansion set.

One quick comparison shot of it for the nignt, with its "successor" the Tallgeese III.

    62e9135d-3252-4ad4-bc5c-3d13e516eb6d-1_all_46189.jpg

There is no comparison really. The Epyon is more robust and larger, especially with its heat whip.

Up next... not so fast back to the RG Zeta. I want to work on something else I've had backlogged long enough for the Super Robot thread.

    62e9135d-3252-4ad4-bc5c-3d13e516eb6d-1_all_46112.jpg

It's time to finish the Mazinkaiser.

    IMG_20240615_135316_HDR.jpg
Going to paint the seat of course.... I wouldn't be me if I left that a sea of gold tones....

Most of the dark/wine red parts for the MG Testament done, as well as the stragglers from the black parts.
Again I say "most" because I screwed up on a couple of parts, and they'll be re-done alongside the lighter red parts.

With this, the Trikeros Kai is all done, and almost all of the Divine Striker is done (missing that one middle piece that's getting redone).

I had a ton of trouble with that large "VPS Armor" waterslide decal on the Trikeros Kai; because of the large curved surface, I had trouble keeping it flat.
I was actually going to remove it entirely until in the removal process, I ended up inadvertently tearing the decal exactly at the fold locations, so it all sort of laid flat on its own then. Using lots of decal softener afterwards, it actually fixed itself.

    I broke it.
    Screen Shot 2024-06-15 at 11.43.41 PM.png
But thankfully it wasn't the head (or the arms). Even better, it's somewhere you won't really be seeing most of the time, and should be easy enough to fix.

I started the panel lining today. I was too scared to pull the head off so I lined it while attached. Miraculously, it didn't break (I sure thought it would about a dozen times though).
