can second that with the added knowledge that they usually "bounce" the shipment from China through Luxemburg to avoid importfees since to Post NL it'll "just be from an EU country"...

For a second it looked like something straight out of VOTOMS, impressive work!

That is blindingly bright, you can hardly see the folds and lines in the psychoframe.
Don't get me wrong, it glows like the real thing should.
Now what's the result of the blacklight question?

I also used a white background and over-exposed the pics to try and make it really glow.

Here's a pic under more normal lighting:

Very cool. Even under the normal lighting makes it glow.

Not much worth showing tonight, but I attached the small knee covers after I had to strip and repaint them.

Had to do the same thing with the bands for the back of the legs.

    Fantastic!

Epic custom! Love how you've got the facemask and the sniper scope using the same design.

Wow, this glow. I love how this pops.

So I’m building the MGEX Strike Freedom and it’s a pretty cool build. Very much feels like a miniature PGU with the plated runners, 3D lens stickers, and metal etching stickers. God almighty though, do I hate those posable hands. Ring finger on the left just broke at the knuckle. I am so unbelievably careful with these but this one I guess was just stuck? Thankfully there’s hand options that I already planned to use but come on Bandai, drop these things already. Or at least redo the design because they’re years old now and don’t even look good. Also the thumb articulation is wrong.

Thanks! I plan to do the same with the Banshee when I eventually decide to get one. (Two?)

It was so stupid that they decided to include those hands just for the beam sabers considering that it included fixed hands for everything else. I only managed to get one pic with the beam sabers because those hands were rage inducing.

Wait, so the closed holding hands can’t hold the sabers? That’s stupid.

I don’t think there’s been a single kit that included the posable hands that wouldn’t be better served with fixed posed ones. The MGEX Unicorn included them too and they weren’t even the right colour, nor could they fully articulate due to the back hand plate.

The worst ones were probably RG GaoGaiGar and Goldymarg, since all you got were the posable hands. (And one Hell/Heaven option) This sucks for GaoGaiGar but it damn near hobbles Goldy since it means the hammer is being held solely by the fold out tab in the palm.

Not even, that tab doesn't hold the hammer for crap from what little time I've fussed with it.

Yeah. The shape and weight distribution of the hammer itself forced me to kind of balance the tip inside the grooves of the armature I used to hold it up.

Genuinely don't understand why they didn't included a fixed posed holding hand. Holding hands, above all else, are a strict necessity IMO. Even Bandai seems to know this... sometimes.

Waists are coming together. Red paint on every white part.

    20240116_145639.jpg

Painting the "tail" of the rear skirt made me go back and paint the same spots on Blue Frame. I'll post the comparison with its sibling in due time.

    20240117_012017.jpg

At this point, I can attach the legs. I still need to finish repainting the bands that go behind the knees.

The torso is also in the midst of started.

    20240116_134630.jpg

The spine and blocks under the cockpit on the stomach are cemented in place. As of this point, I'm painting the flank areas and accenting the details.

kinda wasted opportunity for Bandai that instead they remake the entire Gundam Seed/Destiny MS under HGCE Revive line, they resorted to just re-issue the Gundam Seed HG Remasters which based from the 2004 original molds.

I wanted to buy entire GATX main suits from remaster but upon seeing the scale differences vs HGCE Revive Seed/Destiny kits which I own, it somewhat discourages me to get one.

Kinda unfair for Seed/Destiny series franchise. Duel AS, Buster, Blitz, Aegis, Providence, Calamity, Raider, Forbidden, Gaia, Abyss, Chaos, Legend never have Revive kits.
Meanwhile the 5 main Gundams in Gundam Wing got their own HGAC Revive kits. Even Leo OZ grunt suit have HGAC kit.

Here's another kicker, Bandai already announced months ago they will release Destroy Gundam in HGCE Scale.

They're promoting Gundam Seed Freedom movie right?
And all they can do is just re-release HG Seed Remasters?

Well, no, there's also the line of brand new HG kits based on the movie as well.

Honestly it seems weird to me to think Bandai's somehow ignoring SEED when it's obviously their most popular series outside UC. We've had the many MG Zakus, RE:1/100 kits, the MGEX, the upcoming HGCE Destroy, and you know we'll probably get at least one Master Grade from the movie.

Just because Bandai isn't devoting an entire year of their HG line to SEED doesn't mean it's being ignored. I'm sure the original GATX lineup will get modern HGs soon enough, like how Wing had its HGAC line pickup years after the original Wing and Zero.

This isn't uncommon for Bandai to reprint a series specific set of kits, *and make newer models* for the upcoming project. The Destroy is getting the HGCE treatment since it was never given a model kit to begin with as the series was airing.

@deathzero23 Speaking of, I was surprised to see the 20th anniversary set is using the original Providence kit from 20 years ago.

First picture I saw I thought maybe it was the HGCE Freedom, finally doing an HGCE Justice (not the Infinite Justice, just the regular one) and an HGCE Providence. Then I saw that it's the RG Freedom and Justice and the 20-year-old Providence HG and was very confused. Both the Justice and Providence seem way overdue for an HGCE revive.

Ah well, I'm sure they'll get around to it eventually.

I'm still sitting on an MG Freedom and Justice I haven't put together yet. And speaking of which - in case I ever get around to them, I picked up the replacement hip parts already for those two, but depending on how the builds go for me I might get a couple others. Anyone know if the MG Providence and Strike ver. RM use the same hip joint (and thus might also need replacements)?
