They should, every Target for miles around me is carrying Gunpla now, though I live in the suburbs of a major city so that might have something to do with it.

Okay, just...just don't do that. You're just getting into this hobby and I do NOT recommend burning that much money on an instant backlog like that. Plus, without knowing which kits, some of those may not exactly be up to modern par as not all 1/144 kits are High Grades (and even modern ones have their faults I.E. Gundam Tristram, infamously the worst 'recent' HG in years). You're better off ordering through a specialty service like USAGundamStore, Newtype, or GundamPlanet.

Additionally, ordering from Japan is a very bad idea right now. Shipping is a complete shitshow due to limited cargo space.

EDIT: Plus, do you even have a pair of nippers? I can't recall if you've disclosed this, but if you don't, that should be your first priority. Nippers are a critical tool for getting the best finish. I've been using the same pair for probably ten years and really need to look into getting a new set, but they're vital for model building.

Jesus dude this isn’t my first model kit, Portanova Marine Purple wasn’t my first Gunpla kit, and as for why there are so many, they are all 30MM kits, a lot of which are not instock anywhere else anymore, and are ¥800-¥1,900. Which are great prices.

I know what I’m doing and I have the money, I just wasn’t expecting $100 worth of shipping.

Relax, he doesn't mean any insult. It's just the one flaw of this hobby is when domestic sources run dry or limited on items, it pays to be careful when going outside the US for kits in bulk. You might find a good deal on a kit but they'll kill you in shipping fees.

Should have answered this one last night, my bad..
Target has a small, decent inventory of kits now in store. The only ones I've seen:
    Entry Grade RX-78-2
*they had the American color version too last night.
    HGUC Rx-78-2 Revive
    HGUC Char's Zaku II
    HGAC Wing Zero
    HGAC Heavyarms
    HGCE Strike Freedom
    IBO HG Barbatos
    IBO HG Barbatos Lupus Rex
    RG Exia

My clusterduck from last night was the first time I had seen any of the Breaker HGs at my local store.
They also got the next wave of G-Frame kits, with the Blue Destiny and GM Commando.

They have a few things listed on their website through their Marketplace option but they've since narrowed down what they have available * sold by Target* to basically what they have on store shelves.

Yeah mine only really had the HG RX-78, Char’s Zaku, and Strike Freedom.

I bought the Universe Unicorn once and loved it, but let it go. I was very tempted by Char’s Zaku but I’m not sure how well it compares to the HG, which is the same price.

The little G-Frame kits were kind of temping too.

That's what I said! If you watch battlogue on youtube, this bot was in the first set of enemies along with a gundam 00 and zaku variant that I would buy in a heart beat.

My understanding is it was a set of contest winners that were included in battlogue and an upcoming gundam game. I took a screenshot as best I could of them.

So, when I read this the first time I thought you meant this was some sort of color variant. But then I went to a second Target, and found this.

I laughed so hard at this, thinking it was so stupid, but the good kind of stupid, and for $10, I had to get him.

The build was super simple, the plastic felt great, the figure is nice all around. I know it’s “Entry-Grade”, but I really like it. I just wish the skirt armor wasn’t one single piece.

    Looks perfect with 30MM.

All in all, for my first ever RX-78-2, it’s pretty good. :)

Just so you know, there are people legitimately angry over in Japan they actually can't buy that kit (I have one myself) due to it being a Target exclusive. The reddit occasionally has people lament this. Its actual existence is attributed to a statue that's seen in the opening of the Breakers Battleogue, where it's a centerpiece of the tournament finals.

The Entry Grade is remarkable at how much it does for so little - having built the regular 'Revive' RX-78-2 (there's like THREE of these in HGUC, I also own the previous "v.30th" in the Forever Gundam variant), the Entry Grade manages to come extremely close despite having what I can only describe as a "layered" build.

I can genuine understand why. I have personally never liked the normal RX-78 colors, but this thing really does it for me. I mean I am genuinely falling in love with it.
After having built a 30MM, I was actually surpised at how similar they are. I knew from some reviews that 30MM is compatible with some other gunpla, but the construction is similar. 30MM is better though.

I moved my little “diorama” to my nightstand so I can fiddle with them more commonly. But man, am I really loving it. For $10, I’m tempted to get and pick up extras.

EDIT: So I do have one question. Since this is a 144 scale kit, does that mean that RG and HG kits are the same size?

You see now that kinda confuses me. 144 RX-78 is about five inches. Are there just more parts?
