Half way through the RG Wing, the leg frame has something interesting about it for transformation and I like the little grey details visible through the white armor plates. The movable side chest is really cool, I don't think there is another standard gunpla that does this.
There's a few. It's an overt design feature of the S1 Gundams from 00. As far as the Wing goes, a similar chest joint was employed for the HiRes Wing Zero frame. Similar jointing was also employed in the torsos of the Build/Try Burning Gundams, the GM/GM, and the GBN-Base Gundam.
One of the side armor things is in two pieces and the other is just one. Serves no purpose in this kit in particular but I guess it's for a possible future retool.
You do need it, but you can get it at a better price elsewhere. Translation: Sword Calamity confirmed.
The Booster Shield is closer to completion. I had to strip and restart the mounting block and the propellent tanks because I have left the parts sitting out in the open box where they tend to collect dust. I'm working on the undersides too and won't set in the sensor parts until the rest is done.
it is done signature posethe fact that the cannons can fit beam saber blades is kinda neat. don't have enough shelf height to do that, but it's neatby the way, part of one of those cannons fell behind my desk. I was cutting it off the runner, the last piece decided it wanted to flymy entire 00 collection was removed from the shelf to safely move the deskmy back...the part fell into a crevice that was less than half an inch in width and was 30 inches deep. Measuring tape to the rescue.Mission accomplished.also, this part fell as I was moving my Mobile Suits. Anyone recognize it?I want to say it's from MG 00 but I can't figure out where it's supposed to go.anyways, Task Force Alpha is completeNext up: Phenex AADE NT Shield Tail upgrade kit.
I do! Part #R-2 from MG 00 Seven Sword. It's the tab that fits on the back side of the GN Buster Sword right above the GN Drive socket, just above the handle. Great job on the EX-S! Now you also need a Deep Striker!
Got these two last week from HLJ. RG Freedom and RG Strike Freedom, for my Freedom collection. Will be my first RGs (and for the forseeable future, "only RGs" as well). Probably won't get to these within the next 6+ months anyways.
oh no the gold is a different finishor the Phenex itself is dulled down. IDK. Build is still a go. wait until I build the second Tieren and the fifth Overflag crash. hahahano I have no more space
appropriate soundtrack next: probably Tieren or Overflag, then MG Gundam Base Limited Gundam Unicorn Plan B: Plan Perfectibility
Either Tieren or Overflag looks good, especially next to the Gundams. Wished they would make more 1/100 of the OO grunts, but they probably won't sell well... My RG Wing is almost complete, he can almost cross his arms together if not for the bird claws on the forearms. Building the Wing makes me want an RG Shinning Gundam or God Gundam to capitalize on the articulation.
Today's limited progress, I attached the sensor parts to the booster shield. Something about it made me look at the preview build on the back cover to the construction manual, and I realized something. Someone at Bandai dun gouf'd. Looking at it now, I see they must have put the parts together in reverse. The manual has you set the clear part first and then slide over the frame-tip. Meanwhile, my continuing trend of one step forward - four steps back happened again. My paint in the verniers turned out badly on the second coat. My red paint recipe is too thick, and even when I thinned it like I normally do, it still globbed up. And the usual dust stuck at the bottom of each cone found its way into the painted walls. So into the ultrasonic bath they went.... along with the face.. AGAIN!! *argh oy...* I am not giving up on this idea. I repainted the face without making the repeated mistake again, and managed to start painting what I need to on the rest of the head. The verniers will have their day another time. As I turned off the work light for the night, I noticed how much the white details *paint and plastic* stand out, and decided one last marathon of painting I need to do on the feet. I've already disassembled the heel parts to start priming.
let's go, final three 1/100s in my collectiongonna start with the Tieren. First, the Ground, then we go Over it in the skies, and then I'm gonna reach space with Perfectibility.First thing when I opened the box:fuck. looks like part of the box got crushed sometime in the past fourteen years since the original printingready to go. edit: I'm done for the night
White Dingo GM Sniper is complete. My summary of this build: - A billion frame parts that get covered up (thanks 2.0 frame) - Weapons are seam line hell - Ankle guard has a nasty seam line that needs to get fixed. - Its a posing champ More pics here -> Gunpla / Finished Models
Welp. This might be the first time that Nippon-Yasan has screwed me over (I know there's a whole thread about them here, but I've personally never had any issues with them before). Had an order for the reissue MG F90 along with 4 of the Mission Packs. I knew that the lot of it was being released around the end of October, and I was waiting for Nippon-Yasan's "Please pay for your preorder" email. Never got it. I did, however, get an email from them on Friday saying "Your order has been cancelled". I opened up a ticket with them to see if they can "un-cancel" my order and I can pay immediately, but they haven't gotten back to me yet. TBH, it's not the worst order of mine to be cancelled if they can't un-cancel it, though. But still.
Sorry to hear that man. Their CS is garbage so there is a high probability that it will stay cancelled I gave up on them in 2019 after some shipping issues.
Yeah, most of my stuff comes from Anime-Export, but there's still many items that only Nippon-Yasan seems to list, so sometimes I don't really have much of a choice. But like I said, it's not the worst order to have cancelled on me. I'm sure I'll be able to score an MG F90 later on, and they seem to stock the Mission Packs regularly anyways. Maybe I did dodge a bullet anyways; when I made the initial preorder of the F90 and 4 of the Mission Pack sets, I did have a little bit of buyer's remorse mainly in the overwhelming thought as to how to display up to 26 Mission Packs. We'll see how things go at this point, but I'm not stressing over it. It's not like the rest of the Gunpla backlog is getting thin anytime soon anyways.
