Picked up the Daban F91 MB and the AA 3301 ZZ Gundam MG's. I've heard good things about their build quality.

New display from the Tokyo Base of the Base Exclusives and some of latest P.Bandai offerings..
    「MG ザクウォーリア(ライブコンサート Ver.)」などの限定ガンプラがガンダムベース東京で展示!「HG ペイルライダー・キャバルリー」「HG ゲルググ ウェルテクス」などのプレバン新作も!

Unfortunately Dengeki's page only shows the merchandise on display for March 2, and they've since expanded it according to SupremeMecha's blog, which I can't link directly to his FB feed because I'm not signed up on Spacebook, and can only view these pictures using incognito mode and therefore cannot share a link directly to the pictures I wanted...

...anyway, the next packs for F90 are the R and V Units.
R is the Reconnaissance pack, focus on low visibility armor and what appears to be a camera unit on its back and short cannons on its forearms.
V is VSBR (Variable Speed Beam Rifle), it's literally the testbed for the F91's equipment: beam cannons, beam shields, and radiation heat fins along with additional verniers.

Hrm, wondering how much it'll cost me to get a hold of the Concert ZAKU, as a Gundam Base exclusive instead of P-Bandai. Kinda want it, for the shits and giggles, but not if it's going to cost an absolute arm and a leg to middle-man it.

I'd wait, and see if Bandai puts the Gundam Base exclusives on the p.Bandai store again.

    Ah man.
I'm highly tempted by the V-Type, even though I don't have the F90 (only the F90II).
As a kid, my brother had both the old HG F90 V-Type and F90II L-Type, so those two have a special place in my heart.
You can be sure I'll 100% be getting the L-Type pack whenever that comes out, though.

Right there with you, only it was me building them and my brother was the one who bought the F90Y Cluster, he just got me a kit without knowing what it was. Then there was F90 Kai and Vigna Zirah, all of which were my first Universal Century models.

I have a hunch the L Pack is going to be like the Intercept (the "Jupiter Final Battle" type for the F90, not the F90II version) and be a stand alone pack, where they might just make some improvements or additions to the long rifle to justify it. Instead of 12 paired sets to get 26 letters, they do it in 14 packs.

And that wraps up three builds this week: master grade F91 1.0, RE/100 Gun Blaster and RE/100 RX-78-GP04G Gerbera. The Gerbera is so big it doesn't fit in my photo area, big ol' fuel tanks and the long range rifle are the culprits of course.  IMG_20210306_172015.jpg IMG_20210306_172007_1.jpg IMG_20210306_171934_1.jpg IMG_20210306_171918_1.jpg IMG_20210306_171828_1.jpg IMG_20210306_171817_1.jpg

I'm looking forward to HGUC RX-105 in April, hopefully it also gets a 1/100 MG or other

I put a coat of the Gaianotes yellow green on the particle storage battery, and I will fix the spillage mistakes when it's dried.

I'm thinking about painting it red though...

Assembling the GN Drive is finally happening. The LED is in place, but I still have some work to do in the back end.

    Oh man.
I'm seriously tempted on the VSBR pack.
I might go halfsies on it with a buddy since he seems to love the R-Type one more, so it might work out.

Huh, I was sending that from my cellphone, a buddy who can view spacebook sent it to me.

Even so, these look really good.
    -

Small update on the shoulders. I fixed my silver layers and filling in the gunship gray panels.

    20210306_203702.jpg

There's an odd warp in the center of them, but it flattens out once the armor is fit together.

The GN Drive's next layer is underway.. I coated the next section of the cone with Gaia Yellow-Green.

    20210306_210234.jpg

Now for that idea I had earlier... the particle storage container is primed for red.

    20210306_221126.jpg

I made a pan batch of red paint, the plastic color of the Exia is more muted than my bottled recipe so I literally just added it to the primer I used to set up for this.

    20210306_222625.jpg

Mind the rough edges, I've since gone back over it and filled them in. Let this dry overnight and I'll finish it next time.

I find having a massive pile of unbuilt kits is helping curb my tendencies for splurge buying gunpla online

I'm currently working on a custom build. Never done one to this extent. Using a HG Jesta as the base, I'm building a Loto custom. This will be a heavy munitions/weapons transport unit.
I modified a lot of parts, scratch-built some and added from various other kits.

It features transformation to tank mode. There's also a few other surprises in store. I'll show more of that when I'm close to finishing the build.

This has been a fun one so far and I have learned a lot from this process.

So I have two weird peeves/rules when it comes to color schemes on Gundams:

    Faceplates:
    - If the Gundam's helmet is white, the faceplate can only be white.
    - If the Gundam's helmet is any non-white color, the faceplate can be either white, light-grey, or the same color as the helmet.
So things like the Gold Frame Amatsu Hana, or the 105 Dagger, are totally wacko to me. The Blitz is borderline ok, but only because the faceplate sometimes looks more grey (to me) instead of the purple-grey that it's supposed to be, depending on the art.

    Hand-backs:
    - Assuming that the color of the palm/fingers are grey/gunmetal, the back-of-the-hand cannot be the same color as the palm/fingers. I always need the hand-back to be part of the "armor", rather than part of the "frame".
So hands like the RX-78-2, Wing/WingZero TV, or X look weird to me.

Anyone else have weird "rules" when it comes to Gundam/Gunpla coloration?

Second coat on the red shell, I said "F*** it. spillage happens, I can just reprime and paint over the other areas again."

    20210307_104313.jpg

Mind the way the light hits it, the brush strokes visibile in the red paint hadn't finished drying at the time so it hadn't leveled out yet.
So... primer coat applied and silver layer to come, will apply the Yellow-Green again and then finish with repairing the gunship gray center.
