Then we need to go bigger. Time to rent a helicopter, Hadlen, those cows are gonna fuckin' fly. Unleash the mobile sweeties and attack your enemies with cow pie bombs.
Shiny! Hungy (my profile pic) used to jump really high when he was a bottle calf, but he doesn't fly very well when he reached 1,600lbs, not without support thrusters. I've got a few high speed ground types and one really big aquatic model. - Anyway, here's some REAL Gunpla work for a bit. the next coat of paint on the first Core Fighter's wings.
You can't really tell in the pic but Phenex retains the color gimmick of RG. The chrome has two different shades and you can tell in hand. It's wild.
The only flaw I see in that kit (besides the obvious price) is the nub marks where they can't undergate. Trick is finding the right kind of chrome and clear color to hit it with afterwards to fix it. One question though, what's that green 'dot' on the table next to the Banshee and Unicorn? Did something fall out somewhere?
Yeah. The nub marks are a pain. Sucks because the DE tails use a yellow under plastic which...doesn't look bad. But then the OG Unicorn parts...literally the rest of the kit use the black plastic... That green dot is a goddamn rice Krispies treat sprinkle I used. Haha. Leftovers from part of dinner last night I had as breakfast.
Here it is, my RG Wing Zero: Endless Waltz the movie was the first gundam series I actually watched (I own the blu-ray, DVD, and the Japanese LaserDisc of that movie), and that scene with Wing Zero unfold its wings was the most awe inspiring thing I saw back in the days. Finally able to get a stand that replicate that scene. Unfortunately, the right lower elbow on my Wing Zero broke so I had to glue it back so no lower elbow articulation there.
Started strong this morning and afternoon but towards the evening Nemo started to get a little sluggish, but she was perky throughout the day. Even attempted to nurse from her mother but still coping with a tenderness issue. Jesta has been a helicopter mother the whole time. I treated her udder with a spray bottle full of aloe and water, easiest and safest way to give some comfort to her and it's not toxic in case Nemo tries to go to her again. This evening got to be a little rocky, she got her morning and midday quarts without incident. As the night came on, nursing from the bottle she got tired, but we managed to get the rest of her clot into her. It's conflicting to feel optimistic but know from experience how quickly things can fall apart. It's the nature of working with living creatures. We'll just have to see how she does tomorrow, and respond accordingly. At this point, I don't fault Jesta. Keeping calm and building on. I didn't get much else done on the GP save for some color mapping and adding more color to the first Core Fighter. The second coat of paint on the wings led me to just finish painting the outside borders.
To be honest, I'm finding these gundam cow posts pretty danged awesome! And the names all fit / work!!
Dunno if anyone mentioned this yes, but the Gundam SEED "Ultimate Collector's Edition" is up on Right Stuf: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Collector's Ultra Edition Blu-ray I'm excited for it. Really enjoyed the show way back in like... 2007 or whenever it was we got it in the US. I sold off all my old anime DVDs long ago and have been slowly replacing all my Gundam shows with the BD releases as they came out Don't have the cash to order it now, and would probably want to see if Right Stuf does a bigger discount anyways. Last year or before I nabbed the 00 set for about $120 during one of their big year end sales. I don't think this one will go quite that low but under $200 would be nice. Related: I noticed there's some new stock of the PG Astray coming out, but it seems the PG Perfect Strike has since replaced the PG Strike - anyone know for sure if the old version is now out of production? I'm still on the fence as to whether I want to even attempt a PG kit, but if I did I really just wanted to do Aile Strike + Skygrasper - not especially interested in spending more for extra strike packs and losing out on the jet.
I appreciate the vote of confidence, but this can get sensitive and turn tragic in a heartbeat since we're at a critical period with Nemo. On day three she's doing fine, a little sluggish and still a bit under nourished since we haven't seen her nurse from Jesta, and she's only getting whatever milk replacer we provide her. She got almost two quarts this morning, a little hesitation to accept the bottle without us pushing it in her mouth, but strong suckle until she got tired. She then noodled on Jesta's udder, hasn't quite figured out how to wrap her tongue to the teat and pull it yet but Jesta's still a bit sensitive down there. I think my aloe solution from last night helped her relax some. Constant interaction, keeping her alert, and her mother's attentiveness will be the key to improving her behavior, but nutrition is paramount. She gets her next bottle in an hour.
Family has owned the farm since 1992, and I started managing it back around 2003 when my siblings went to grad school and the farmhands got fired when they destroyed equipment.
