Boy, do I. Since I collect robot toys too, shelf space is a premium. Heck, even storage space for boxes is a premium. Good thing I got out of Lego ages ago.
Ambroid O Scale Payroll Car pt. 2 I was setting up parts earlier for today's task - the basic inner framework - and I discovered my great uncle had made a little more progress than I'd thought. He'd cut and labeled the three lengths that will form the narrower back portion of the payroll car.
Just the Origin C5/6 kit, and the spare parts from the Zaku Cannon, with a little paint and raiding my large spare sticker sheet collection. Oh, and the Large heat hawk from the Act Zaku.
Ambroid O Scale Payroll Car - Part 3 The basic core frame is together and you can already see it taking shape.
Wanted to get back into Gunpla with this period of self-quarantine and social-distancing, so hoped to do something quick. I normally prefer 1/100 scale kits, but 1/144 would be an easier way to get back into things, especially if I'm working on these on the side while doing "real" work. Dug up an HGCE Strike Freedom that was in the backlog. Thought it'd be an easy snap-fit, airbrush and be done with. Nope. Seamlines like mad on the wings and hip rail-guns. Gotta glue and putty.
Yeah. The rest of the kit is pretty nice with no real build problems. The bigger part of the wings, and both the front and rear portions of the hip-railguns, are all 2-part and split right down the middle. Which is unfortunate.
Note to self. the next time I say "I'm gonna try and pull a One-Day Build," ...don't. Decided to open the HiRM God Gundam because I thought I'd get a break in farm action, figured "what could go wrong?" Then the phonecall came from the fuel company saying they couldn't get into the fuel tank in the hayfield, I needed to refill the feed bins and square bales for the stable, get the roll of hay for the main herd, and stay ahead of the rain... by the time that wrapped up, it was feeding time. In the meantime because I can't just straight build anything, there's painting to do. Using my "ABS Gray" recipe to just to highlight some details. I've never understood why the King of Hearts Centerpiece of the Chest is chrome green, even in the older figures and kits.
Because it was green in the anime. Only the old MG rendered in it yellow for simplicity's sake. Sorry the image isn't bigger, but Gundam wiki is so shit pics won't open to be larger, instead they just refresh the page, because fandom wiki is a trash tool.
Thanks, it's one of those subtle things I just never understood... and that says a lot about everything else that happens in G-Gundam which I do get... Anyway!! Rounding up where I left off, and looking back at my idea to finish the unfinished work next to the desk. Jehuty, I took an extended break when I got to the Grind of the hands I need to finish painting..this is why I hate leaving an unfinished project without a box to keep it in. ..but! I am a Mad Genius and everyone knows it for a reason!! Two minutes in the Ultrasonic Cleaner with clean water, and it's dust free!
Red may be the color of three times the passion of ordinary flamenco, but green has always converted hot-blood and courage into power. Tiny plastic robot jacuzzi.
