Seeing how the Pale Rider "Space Use Equipment" comes with the gatling gun, G05 is Inevitable.

Though, I really like this design, and I skipped out on the Master Grades when I saw how... Meh they looked to me, I'll bite for this.

huh... completely missed that. Well I am glad to see the parts of Mudrock getting re-used for something... not pleased that yet again it's all p-bandai, so I'll be skipping the G04 and G05. Neat Gundam designs, but they are kind of obnoxious as far as colors goes, so many patches of yellow and blue/orange. I'm more hoping for an NT-1 from this, that hopefully ISN'T another exclusive... granted in our current gunpla climate hoping for some good non-exclusive releases is basically laughable. I'm starting to think I @SPLIT LIP had the right idea in dropping out of this hobby...

Galaxy Brain Take: Can't get mad at Peebs when you don't care about any of the exclusives.

At this point I have very few have-to-haves and a couple of wouldn't-it-be-nices in terms of existing designs that need kits. I'd always been very selective about what I wanted in kit form and only recently splurged and just bought everything that caught my fancy to throw in a backlog.

At this point it's not even because I want many of the exclusives(yet) so much as the ratio of exclusive to standard releases feels REALLY unbalanced, and supporting the franchise going in this direction just isn't in my best interests.

I'll take nicer pics on the weekend when I get some better natural lighting but I'm super happy with how my storm bringer turned out.

    HGBD:R 1/144 Gundam Tertium
    Release Date: February 2020
    Price: 2,090 Yen
Bandai Spirits announces the release of the Gundam Tertium that was first seen in the 13th episode of the Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE. This Gundam was built and customized by Masaki Shido (Sid) based on Gundam MK-III. The unit was known to defeat 1,000 Death Army units and 500 Leos. Gundam Tertium was then later upgraded into Gundam Seltsam.

The Gundam Tertium is equipped with two beam sabers, two types of beam rifles, a shield binder, and one Hyper Destlance. It can also be equipped by the optional Seltsam Arms for further custom purposes.

I feel there's enough interesting in the main line to keep me engaged. Building MG Alex 2.0 and Barbatos shows that Bandai can still absolutely knock out a fantastic product at retail.

Speaking of Barbatos...wow! Hell of a lot of detail and stability versus the 1/100 kit. Love the slight redesign and the added bulk. Stilla manages to look dynamic as hell. Was gonna skip out waiting for Lupus Rex but I'm glad I didn't skip this.

Barbatos will find its place in the Backlog eventually... but, I'm making a failing attempt to work my way through it as I keep revisiting older half started projects while getting newer ideas stopped half way.

    20200127_224149.jpg
Yep, the on / off again second oldest kit in the backlog. 00 Seven Sword, supplemented with the XN-Raiser and where I left off with only the weapons finished, and a half started Gundam and O Raiser, and completely untouched XN package.
... really getting to see and appreciate the transition from ABS to PS plastic frames too. I looked the Dynames and thought to myself, I should at least try and finish something from the 00 MG collection I'm delinquent on building.

    20200129_013101.jpg

My custom Clear Teal painted Action Base 5 is still one of my best repainted base plate ideas.
I do feel some level of vindication on how I put this kit down initially and come back to it every now and then with improved skill to fix older mistakes, scratch marks I can polish off, and sand out bad cement bonds... maybe add a little more color to the panel lines but I'll leave that for when I come to it.

I just REAAALLLY, REAAALLLY hope that if Bandai does eventually make a Master Grade of the Airmaster.... that it's not a freaking P-Bandai kit. Even though I really like the Burst, I could (kinda) understand that being P-Bandai (I still detest that the Endless Waltz suits were P-Bandai), but the regular one should be a full release if they ever get around to doing the other X suits.

I love the 00 suits but it seems like every color was purposely picked to be as nub-making as possible. That slightly desaturated blue, that grey, that red.

One nice thing about the added weight of the G40's legs:

I will never understand why they thought that image was a good idea.
