Aaahhhhhhhh my EBGames got the SDSK Duel, Astray Blue and Tallgeese 1 in last night. I have so many unbuilt models and they're all absolute chubsters.
The same thing also applies to me as well with my nearby gunpla hobby stores. They recently got both the HGBD:R Earthree Gundam and Gundam Justice Knight, and the fact that they're both completely newly molded kits engineered from the ground up without relying on older kits are interesting. The Earthree is cheaper and had the advantage in terms of novelty, but the Justice Knight looks cooler with even better articulation and engineering than any 1:144 Justice Gundam kits before it. Decisions, decisions.....
Pic isn't loading of the GM Guard changes. Death Army looks great, though. They even give you two mono tracks for both eye choices.
STILL waiting for that MG MSZ-006C1. YESTERDAY (11/8/19) was the last expected due arrival date, so now it is considered LOST, and as such i'm now eligible for a full refund from AMAZON. perhaps it may yet show up, and i'll have my cake and eat it too. We Shall See...
Wait, it's the same disc and you just turn it around? EVEN BETTER. Man, how is it Bandai can do thoughtful things like that...and then turn it around and fuck people up the ass with bullshit like putting all but TWO of the GMs from Origin behind P-Bandai paywalls?
My project is starting to shape... Hope to get the main body ready before monday but that may be a bit of a stretch.
Ok, should be fine this time. I think that's at least one runner worth of new parts. Also, while Bandai didn't highlight the upper body, it's definitely new too to accommodate new backpack and chest armour.
Oh, shit, that looks WAY better than the standard (though I'll probably still get the standard at some point for one reason or another). Fuuck, I know I always say I'm going to get stuff and then not...ugh. I need more money. And maybe someday get back on my backlog. This whole month is out because I'm doing NaNoWriMo on my pet project's fourth revision (hopefully THIS is the one that will be ready for a professional editing pass, I want to get it published someday) but maybe next month I'll finally put together Moon Gundam and see what the hubbub is about.
Right? I’ve got a moon gundam in my pile of loot, but I kind of want to work my way up to these newer HG kits and savor the experience. but I’ve only managed one build in like two months, the G-Self, and I’ve been trying to find time just to put together the space backpack kit for it. At the rate I’m going moon gundam v2 will be our before I get to it.
I built the PG Strike and Skygrasper several (10+) years ago: Pardon the dust, as I had to take it out of the display cabinet a while ago to make room for other things
Yeah, I did ask for a few Gunpla kits on the annual family christmas secret santa round robin. Largely silly things to pad it out (really don't have anything I want and have space for at the moment) like the MG Deep Striker or the PB Zaku Cannon Origin. I did, however, stick the BB kit of Zapper Zaku from the classic SD Gundam Force cartoon. I just remember him as this little angry, shouty guy who got mad at everything and he was hillarious. Plus, he has a chaingun, and chainguns are awesome. Honestly, I kind of hope I get him at least.
Now for the fun part, a pile of feathers and panel accent. I don't want to get carried away with using the Rapidoliner just yet. I'll finish detailing the exterior of the wings the closer I get to completing them.
This is where I had my biggest reservations for the Zero.. the back wings, layers upon layers and sequential assembly. The track mounted lower portion sandwiched between the hinged section, and then encased by the outer shell.. even then, it's too narrow and curved, compounded by the gloss plsstic being so smooth on the surface, it's difficult to keep steady pressure to bond the seams... I'm going to have a bit of shaving and polishing to do in the morning.
