For me, this is fantastic news... Barnes & Noble carries the G-Frame line of minikits. Armor AND Frame in each box for $14 apiece.

They also had Unicorn, but I passed on it.

I saw those at EBGames, but I was confused because the image doesn't show a full armour set so I passed on them.

MG Kyrios is definitely happening if the runners of Dynames are anything to go by, but I'm impatient and leaning towards the 1/100 NG Kyrios. Should I wait?

either Sponge used dark magic or Taurus did a bad job lol

I don't own it - i'm just parroting various other reviews i've seen of the kit, this one especially:

These have been repackaged to look like both individual boxes are next to each other, but it's still just one box. I remember seeing the individual ones for $12 each last year at Mitsuwa stores, glad I held off!

I saw those GFrames at Thinkgeek the other day too. Would have gotten the Sazabi too, if it wasn't for that meddling $30 RD Gelgoog.

If you're going by box art, I'm still waiting on my Brave - Commander's Type but I hope you're right.

Credit for doing the Nadleeh in Virtue armor and the weapon features but because the kit tries to accomplish the dual mode feature, it makes a lot of consessions by doing Virtue's armor in as fewest parts, so expect decals for large areas or get ready to paint.

My only personal encounter with anything bad on Virtue was a cracked polycap in the wrist for holding the BFG..but it's a generic plate with a ballcup and I had plenty of spares.

I highly recommend all of the Gundams in 1:100 scale just for the Experience but Kyrios especially is one of the really good ones.

Didn't take a picture yet but I've got ankle joints for the GP01 built. The further I get of it built, the more I'll start painting it.

Not the first time I’ve been accused of gunpla based dark magic related to the condition of my older kits lol

Oh nice funnel effect parts. Where did they come from? I'm looking for something like that for my RG Sazabi!

Ankle joints, with the section connecting them to build the feet.now with the thruster cone and nozzle plates to detail.

    20190818_001417.jpg

Two tone treatment because I can, the other nozzle plates won't get it as much as these ones did, but I will treat them in a similar way. Bit of sloppy work, cleaned up with touch ups to make still.

"But wait!" Says one of you who remembers how many robots are actually supposed to be here, "one of your kits is missing!"

    Is it?

    Building something different.
Haven't really build any Kotobukiya kits other than FAG and MD ones this year.

Hmm. Old kit, old flash mold injection problems. On the ankle joint, there's this ridge of mold flashing on the post that obstructs the next phase of assembly.

    20190818_143442.jpg

Carved off, everything fits together as it should.

I've still got Lord of Edge Edgebuster Shulawga in my backlog. Been thinking about picking up either a Raftclans or Gesterben. Wish they'd do a renewal version of the Gespents.

Had a lot less time to myself than I thought so this is all I managed. That said, the waist assembly is incredibly ingenious and stable, comparable to an IBO frame torso in look and function except right out of the gate, Atlas feels a lot more stable compared to the rather weak torso joints on IBO Gundams.

Awesome, goes with the Setsuna MSV collection you started!

    -
    Pistons, Shiny and Chrome .

    20190818_172309.jpg

Delicate wet sanding the ends so I can paint them in Engine Gray, and boring through and widening the sleeves so there's no chafing on the chrome plating. Just in case of emergency this is why I have a Molotov pen put aside.

    20190818_173930.jpg
I have the piston sleeves suspended on sticks so I can paint them in Engine Gray too.
