Gentei Kits – Access to Limited Kits in Japan

And on that subject, why did nobody tell me they made a worthwhile GM Interceptor with Fellow Pack?!

We did, two weeks ago. I'm thinking though this GM's purple parts needs to be repainted in black, with red highlights to match the pack.

I finally have an idea where my MotorKing Xamel is. According some universal tracking website it's been in the country for two weeks and was handed off from DHL to USPS in Forest Park, which means knowing my luck will go to Albany, then Jacksonville, and finally head towards Tallahassee before being delivered to me by next week.

    Somehow I missed that.

God I hate being on a budget because I NEED that thing. Doesnt come out until november but it's so unique that I might have to scrap some Siege purchases to make room.

    Gundam Ready for launch.

Finally found a use for the base plates that came with the toyworld coneheads.

Passed by Panda Hobby in Markham/Toronto while I was in the rough area after TFCon Toronto; their selection on both kits and supplies is much better than my local hobby shop (Sci-Fi Anime here in Montreal), but the latter has better prices pretty much across the board (for whatever they do carry). Picked up some aftermarket waterslides and some Mr Color GX paints, since Sci-Fi Anime doesn't carry those.

Finally back at home and wanting to finish up the MG Epyon; but of course, when working on any Gundam kit, the LAST handful of parts to complete the kit are always the ones that cause me the most trouble.
    1) Airbrush sputters and somehow drops a concentrated speck of thinner onto the just-clearcoated part, eating away the clearcoat/paint/primer all the way down to the bare plastic.
    2) Didn't clean up a panel line wash well enough (didn't notice earlier on)
    3) Airbrush wasn't cleaned enough between colors, and the clearcoat of a part ended up with silver speckles (had just sprayed a silver because of #2 above)
All three needed to be stripped, and repainted, re-panel line washed, and re-clearcoated. :(

Applied a few of the Dry transfers to the Zeta. Annoyed I straight up removed the pilots name marker while trying to clean up its edges, but at least that was the only casualty.

It's fine, everybody knows that only girls ever piloted that suit so the names aren't necessary.

Depends on which version of Zeta you see, since I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply to the movie compilation.

To each their own head canon....Judah still happens and ZZ got the Version Ka model it deserved though.
Come to think of it, Zeta's the only of the "Primary" UC Gundams that hasn't gotten a Version Ka yet.
I'm intentionally not counting 08th Team, 0080, and 0083 in that list.. but we did get a Thunderbolt..

Im not sure, I have a Zaku C/R-6 standing by, and a EX Magella. But I'm kinda burned on Zakus after making like 3 and Gouf in a row. I might just shell out for the Origin GM Cannon.

    That's what they all say.

And then they buy a PSYCHO ZAKU.

Cool, one I keep wanting to get but never commit to yet.

You're just saying that because it's the only kit I don't have for my growing collection of cylinder propellant booster mounted Mobile Suits... .....

meanwhile filling in the back of the shield some more.. finishing the Engine Gray outer framing, and will touch up the darker frame gray later.

    20190716_224713.jpg

At the same time, adding some color to the face of the shield.

    20190716_224900.jpg

Roughly assembled the sub machine gun, whatever internal detailed parts like the slide mechanism and barrel are lost and locked inside because of how the forend fits on.. so time to just finish it with paint and detailing.

You say that but remember the Master Grade kit... it's like a diet coke bottle with a dissolving packet of mentos strapped to a GI joe.

Dude. XD .. I just downloaded both AC4 and AC4A OSTs again to my mp3 player and I was working in the field with it today.

    "Agitator."

    20190716_132005.jpg

But kit wise, I'll have a Glint eventually but I've had a Y01 Tellus and the VOB unit backlogged almost as long as the GP01. A hand off from someone who thought he'd build it but he didn't realize what he was facing. And I have a second one that I'm commissioned for to pair with a Porsche. It's actually not that far off from matching the curves of the 917K..

Got another idea in progress for the GP01. I was filling in the color of the bars on the shield and dabbled some paint on those round details, I guess you could call them bolt heads, and I thought about getting some metal etch plates for those spots.

    20190717_004935.jpg

It goes with the age of the kit, details are just molded surface lines and blank shapes but no depth to them.

    What I was leaning towards,

There are details on the inner frame of this style and I'm seeing where else on the model can I use them.

I don't even see a propellant booster on that thing, let alone one the size of the MG Psycho Zaku's central liter bottle.

I have decided on my next kit, Im getting the HG Zeta Plus A. Not sure how a Zeta but with fighter jet aesthetics slipped by me for so long. I would have gone with the Master Grade, but the beam smart gun just seems too unwieldy.

The kit I linked above is 1/72, also.

Welcome to the "Real Gundam" side of the 0080's (decade in the UC). Just be careful of it, the initial release of the HGUC Zeta Plus was plagued with issues that were eventually corrected.
I built the Master Grade A1 back when it came out and for what it's worth close to the level of stability that is the Zeta 2.0.
