Whats the suit in the fourth pic? The one with all of those arms? I don't think I've seen that before.
We saw it at the Gunpla Expo a few days ago. We haven't seen an official transliteration of the name yet but the katakana reads Jaion. Maybe it'll end up being Zion.
I would do that, but I can't imagine dropping any more cash on this thing than the kit+LED set. I also just don't love the look of the FA on something as huge as the PG. It's a bit too much for my taste. Looking at the review, wiring the chest LEDs looks like it's going to be a nightmare. Hope Bandai gave it enough clearance that it's not easy to break things. It looks sturdy enough, so I'm sure it'll be fine. Looks like I picked a doozy of a project for my first PG, though.
I know. I am already going to drop a lot for just the kit and leds. As well as other purchases dropping soon. So its either going to be the FA kit or MP Ultra Magnus as this point. I am not a big fan of the FA kit as it seems just too over kill and I rather like the sleek look of the Unicorn. I don't think its as bad as 00 Raiser in terms of price or frustration of Wing Zero's wiring.
Totally agree with the FA part. Pretty much the same decision for me, except I'd probably have to drop MP Star Saber instead of Magnus. Almost no way I'm doing that. I do think FA Unicorn loses some of the beauty of the white frame broken by red Unicorn has, but I think it works at a smaller scale. Looks great at 1/100 or 1/144. At 1/60, it's just a big mess. As for calling the wiring less frustrating than Wing Zero isn't say much, haha. Looking at the mess of lighting that thing is part of the reason I've never bought it. Seeing how far we've come with the new LED set is super cool. Those PC component style plug and play power connectors is going to be a godsend.
hmm, no wonder i cant find winning gundam in japan... its release next month... RG zero custom look so great.. BTW, does anyone know the name of this beautiful gundam? i took the picture from one of the arcade machine that similar to ganbaride but with gundam.

Yeah was afraid of that. At least no useless spreading hips apart and the waist seems to be better which were two of the worst parts. But I wished they done a better job on the knee caps. Yes they made it so you don't have to pull it off, but you still don't have a locking psycho frame. And I doubt the instructions have you pulling apart the suit to transform it. Never the less, I am still going to build it and transform it maybe one or twice and he's probably going to stay in destroy mode or destroy unchained mode.
My favorite part of the PG Unicorn transformation is that the front hip armor is just a sliding mechanism instead of a lift one. I broke like 3 different Unicorn hip armors because that little connector bit was way too tiny to put that kind of pressure on. PG probably wouldn't have that problem, but good that there's not even a chance.
Here's a couple of oddities that I dug up from my collection from years ago. Some Gundam head speakers. I have a couple of extras, so was wondering if anyone was interested in taking them off my hands? The RX-78-2 is in stereo, and the speakers fold out from the sides. The Zaku II only has 1 speaker (the monoeye). Both run off of 3 AAA batteries, and there's a power switch underneath. The sound quality kinda sucks, but I don't think it's really anyone's concern anyways. Plastic quality is pretty good though; the Gundam is glossy whereas the Zaku has a matte finish. I have one extra of the Gundam head (I'm pretty sure I don't have the original box anymore, but I'll double-check), and two extras of the Zaku head (both of which will have original boxes, albeit pretty mushed; I got them that way). Looking for $15+shipping for the Zaku (each) and $20+shipping for the Gundam. A quick picture with the 1/100 Astray Gold Frame Amatsu for size reference only (I'd have put a 1/144 instead, but I didn't have any handy).
PG Unicorn Transformation video - Destroy Mode to Unchained Mode Gotta love how this guy just pries pieces apart using side cutters. I guess you wouldn't be too concerned if Bandai sent you a free early sample.
I haven't brought a gundam kit in ages but a PG Unicorn is the stuff of dreams, they did an amazing job with the lights, it doesn't glow, it blazes!
