If you're going to just assemble, invest in a nice set of nippers like the Tamiya extra sharps, or the godhand nippers. They're pricey, but they also mean less chances of stressing the plastic when cutting the nubs off.

    Prolly just need a regular $5 sprue-cutter.

Xacto-knife or some file to remove excess nubs if you're feeling more adventurous with the build.

I'd go with Squee and say get a good set of cutters, totally worth it.

Like everyone else has said. Quality Cutters make all the difference. I went from a reliable (until they break) set of Testors brand cutters from my local Hobby Lobby to the Taimya side/fine tipped cutters this past year that I got online.

an X-acto knife too, I recommend their new "Z" series blades. best blades I've gotten in years.

    Have fun with your Banshee!

Agreed... more or less. I mean at least I have the benefit of having watched one episode of NGE and can cite I didn't go any further with it because it was nonsensical to me. I agree with the sentiment about 0080 though, too many flat characters, not enough giant robot action, not too bad designs though. I kind of hated the Zaku Kai at first until I saw the ones with the helmets, now I'm tempted to army build them... tempted.

BTW, anyone else here have the old Mobile Suit Gundam novel translations notice the red Zaku on the cover of Confrontation is a Zaku Kai?

And if I remember right, one of the Gundams on one of the covers looks like a Mk II.

It's the usual Gundam with some bizarre proportions(actually all the covers have this issue one way or the other), it's just holding the Mk. II beam rifle. Another cover has the Grey Phantom in the background.

yes it is. Glad I didn't get the Second L type. Although I could do like I did with my Red Frame, but no.

So.... This is my first MG, but aren't they supposed to have an underframe? I'm not going to paint him, but some panel-lining and maybe a wash or two followed my some drybrushing is definitely a possibility.

Also, I'm seeing stress-marks on certain parts, even though I was super careful and there's no reason for them to be there....

Looks like something entirely new. Why didn't they do this for the MG Qan[T] ?!

The "Version EW" kits all have a structural inner frame as opposed to the detailed mechanical inner frame. They're really more about capturing the exterior armor/character look.
