He really needs some balm.
That's really awesome and funny!!!
10/5. I'm aroused.
CW Defensor only had two problems, in my view: legends Groove felt a bit silly sitting out on the combined mode chest, and the combined gun looked pretty anaemic. So, why not use the weird peg and hole on either side of Groove's motorcycle mode to make him into a targetmaster?
Sadly, only Blades can hold him because of how the stock (Groove's feet) protrudes onto the forearm a little bit. But, it also is in good proportion, holds together relatively solidly, and gives Groove a way cooler job.
I remember seeing somewhere that someone figured out a weapon base mode for the Optimus and Rodimus trailers. Anyone have pictures of those?
Simple armor/weapons rack mode for the Optimus trailer
Really should go down to the basement and grab some more spare combiner parts...
Oh g0d. It's back. Not the propeller nipples! Not again!
NOOOOOOOO! THE PROPELLOR NIPPLES! THEY'RE BACK!
*edit -- I fixed the head connector after thedicemaster pointed out it was sitting higher than it should be. Also filled in Optimus' back a bit better. Posted in Radicons because I took a bunch of pics showing in more detail what I did: Minor/Repaint: - Separate PotP Optimus and Orion Pax
With some fiddling around this evening I rigged up this easy way to attach Optimus' head and chest kibble -- after removing them off Orion's back. This means you can display Optimus and Orion at the same time!
Easy to take apart, just three screws -- no pins. And the minimum of all you need is a few common Lego pieces to build an attachment for Optimus' head:
This attaches by inserting the blue Lego pieces into the back of the Matrix crystal.
Above is all you really need to do, but to cover their backs and get rid of the 'light leakage' they both had (from not having backs anymore), I added some red covers:
Double torso Volcanicus
I don't know why but Orion Pax face seems to me like a Micronaut and it's a good thing.
...The Seekers always reminded me of Micronauts
This looks really great. Would you mind telling which pieces you used to fill in the backs please?
Here's my latest fan mode

How did you manage this? I thought the TFC connectors were very different from CW connectors? No matter what, it looks kind of trim and slender, which might be a good thing. Some might think it looks kind of scrawny.

That's what I'm using to make them compatible. He's definitely not as bulky as the complete TFC Hades, but it does fit more in line with the rest of my CW combiners which was my goal.
The bots themselves are voyagers so they size with the group nicely. Only downside is the alt-modes, but robot scale is what matters more to me.
It's still a WIP for me; I've got a 2nd Hellbat incoming to swap parts with Guyhawk for symmetrical jet limbs along with drill and tank upgrades yet to do.
Wow, I did not realize that the connectors were the same as Energon connectors. I also did not think the Combiner Wars limbs would look any good with the TFC figures, but they actually look good.
Adds some much-needed bulk to the torso. Also, can give him four arms this way! Hehe.
