Siege Ultra Magnus:

 

1.) Can the armor combine in any meaningful way when they are not on the inner robot or are we stuck with seperate piece if they are all off.
2.) Can you go from bot to car carrier mode without removing the armor?
3.) How secure is the armor once it is attached to the inner robot?

 

1: No, this isn't like Shockwave and his surfing drone. This is more like Car Robots Fire Convoy/RID Optimus Prime where the parts are to the side if you're doing stuff with the core robot.

2: No way all to do that. Much like RID Optimus Prime the armour parts create the trailer and then plugs into the core robot mode that is now transformed into a truck cab.

3: Everything is solid on this figure. Don't have to worry about stuff popping off if you move something.

 

I've decided to just go for the gimmick figures with Cyberverse. The $20 ultra toys seem like a healthy mix of accurate robot statue plus fun attack gimmicks.

Shockwave wakes up the little kid in me that couldn't get enough of those chunky AEC toys when I was 5.

 

I think Bruticus and the Sharkticons could team up and hunt Autobots. The Sharkticons would act like attack dogs and flush them out where Bruticus could shoot them to scrap and then the Sharkies would clean up the bodies, presumably by eating them.  

 

have you ever seen G1? The Sharkticons never were Decepticons, they worked for the QUints who had a strained relationship with Galvatron. Also, Shockwave was never an ally of the Combaticons. They FORCED him into blaster mode and wielded him in one episode. he was far from their friend or ally.
