Sure, but that can be said about anything.

Just for fun, I challenge everyone to take photos of their childhood toys. My mom passed away recently and I found these in her dresser.

    Love the picture!

I also find it very touching that your mom kept some of the toys you played with as a kid near her. God bless her soul :)

    Nice!

I believe this is the only photo ever taken of little eriku's toy shelf back in the day (1985 or 1986). Still have a few of those things, but most were destroyed by neices and nephews.

Oh I had a box and a big cardboard drum filled with toys, too. The shelves were my dad's idea. I remember him telling me how important it was to take care of my toys because they might be collectors items someday, and shortly after that he put up some shelves in my room and I had a lot of fun filling them up with my favorite things.

    Hey Odeean!
Love your review on this tiny little windup IQ9 toy! Have many SBY/ Starblazers items in my collection but I've never seen this little gem before. Thanks so much for introducing me to him, the hunt on Evilbay begins! lol

That aside, like you, for many years I have been looking for a good representation of IQ9/Analyzer. Dunno if your build model kits or not but BANDAI is coming out with this REAL soon:

AU-09 Analyzer (Plastic model) Bandai Space Battleship Yamato 2199 1/12

Knowing BANDAI, even if you don't build kits you could most likely build this one as almost all their kits are high-end snap kits cast in multiple colors & top-notch stick on decals. Plus, you cant argue with the price!

i feel so bad to see this thread go all the way back to page 5. I wish i had some pics to update it with.I'm just waiting on another monsterarts Alien to come in the mail and a small photo bomb will happen.

Is that Dead eye duck? or one of those army ant toys? That is cool that your mom keep 2 of your toys like that and Skeletor of all things.

And that is why the 80s were awsome.Just look at all those great toys. Its weird to think about all the toy lines we did collect as kids. I don't think there was a boys toy of the 80s i didn't have my hand in.

I hung up one small shelve(maybe 2 feet long?)for my son and he loves rotating the stuff in and out.G1 Prime and Ultra magnus stayed around for the longest. Its funny,he will tell you that those are super old and break easy.Transformers to Skulls,to TMNT.Its crazy the revoling door that he goes through with just one little shelve. At least it does help him understand that these are nice toys(or can be) and you should take care of them worth be damned.
