I feel it appropriate that the 2009 thread be endedd with a penis joke.

@Ersico: I hope you used acrylics for those soft-rubbery-parts like the sword. Otherwise the paint won't fully dry and scratch off really easily.

    I can't believe you didn't paint Bludgeon's eye sockets.

i used a gold sharpie paint marker, i don't really play with the toys too much so if a lil paint gets rubbed ill just redo it :)  and i was going to do te eye socket (but im a lil intimidated by getting into such a small area with fear of messing it up..

Painting the eye-socket should be easy. If you bleed paint around the edges you can just wipe it off, or scratch it off (when it hasn't cured yet, i guess) The eye itself is in a cavity too, so the risk is minimal.

Those things are great aren't they? I've used the standard silver sharpie for years now, starting with SW 12" figure's lightsaber hilts back in the day (the completely black plastic ones looked SO much better with a bit of silver detailing) and have continued the use of them on TF's in recent years... Now with the gold paint marker I detail to different degrees almost all my movieverse figures, as they incorporate a larger amount of bronze/gold colored metals in their designs.

The first figure I used it on was ROTF Hoist. Now his arms have more gold-ish detail to go with his gold-ish/orange legs and overall G1 color scheme homage. IMHO it made him SO much better than having those plain light gray arms.

I've been a fan ever since.
