This LEGO set ,released this year is the definitive set for me to build a TF from, coz it's oozing with lots of ball joints and the price is great even at retail (RRP).

I must admit, I considered myself a lil "lazy" for opting to build a Transformer lion from an official LEGO set that featured a lion. And I don't even have a proper name for him!

In the near future, I shall try to build at least 2 more TF with different alt modes using this set.

    LION MODE

    ROBOT MODE

As usual, transformation between modes doesn't require reassembly of parts.

All the ball joints and hinges from the set were used up for the beast and robot limbs , so I'm left with none for his head to swivel nor able to implement a tail for his beast mode!

Nice! The helmet reminds me of razorclaw.

Like this one a lot. Seems like with guns it could probably just be called “Victory Leo.” He has pretty much an identical transformation and color scheme. His head is even the right shape.

    Edit:
The real Victory Leo has less red than I thought, but it still probably would work the best.

Dunno what's cooler, this build or the fact that Lego actually included a piece of a corpse in the set on purpose.

Way to "maximize" a decent Lego set. Great as always!

I was pretty obsessed with TF: Victory as a child and attempted to build Victory Leo quite a few times. Here's my "latest" version more than 10 years ago. I'm planning to give it another shot with modern lego parts like mini ball joints and L shaped tile (perfect for his chest).

Wow! That looks really accurate. Maybe you could call the build from this thread, “Beast Leo,” as a reference to the more organic look.
