    Yeah, that is hard to back up, I would have to see pics of him holding them. Even then it wouldn't make me pay more.

    i didnt realize they were supposedlly from his collection, thats stupid to pay more, unless he ended up as a voice in the new movie or something, and signed his characters toy....but thats wont happen....

    Slightly off-topic, are there actually any celebritites (A-List through Z-List) that are known to collect Transformers? I can think of none of the top of my head.....

    It's been loosely verified that he is/was a SW nut...there's pics of him somewhere at a TRU for the Episode I midnight madness hoopla as well as stories of him at cons buying stuff.
    There's also some auction site running what is purported to be his vintage SW collection. Given how old he is, and how much money he has, it's entirely possible he bought the shit out of both...wouldn't you?

    I'm sure there are several. There's no shortage of 20 and 30-somethings that are some level of celebrity. Some of them no doubt got or already had the nostalgia bug when their music/movie/TV career enabled them to buy with relative impunity. Again..wouldn't you?

    However, there's no particular reason why it would ever come up even in celebrity rags and such, so they go largely unnoticed, save for secondhand accounts like the Leo thing.

    Kirk Hammett collects robot toys. I don't know how his vintage TF collection is, but I used to see him (before Metallica became BIG) at Kimono My House in Emeryville :D  The band lived in a house nearby

    How can we forget DJ Starscream? Doesn't he collect Transformers?

    On topic: Who cares who collected them. I see no reason for that to effect the cost. He got them from the same places the collectors here got them from after all.
