Yes, Blackout was bombarded with missiles, but the only time you see Blackout actually "bleed" energon is when Lennox castrated him with a grenade to the crouch area.

And that killed him?

Overthinking it? Probably, but keep in mind this was before the advancements in human weapons against Cybertronians.

 

When you take grenade shot to the balls, you might as well forget about your own life.

My eyes saw the shot as hitting him in the lower thorax, not the groin.

In any case, if I got my junk blown off, I'd just put a gun to my head and pull the trigger. No point in living any further.

 

I thought the same thing, like it went up inside his chest and chest destroyed the internals.

Also, yeah. Id rather not have my funbits blown off by some guy screaming and flying under me.

 

Lennox shot Blackout through the balls and into the chest, asploding the spark into gooey pieces. This is because Lennox is awesomes.

When dealing with zombies, remove the head or destroy the brain.

When dealing with BayFormers, go for the balls.

I've had a paint ball to the Testes....It was VERY painful.....

But 1 or 2 grenades to the Testes....Now that might be SOOO much pain....It might kill you.....Ever if you're an alien robot.

 

I think the missile are what killed him. The groin shot just incapacitated him long enough for them to impact without him dodging.

 

He isn't shot in the balls. The shot goes under a gap in his torso plating. They even specificly say so in the movie. Having said that, if Cybertronian anatomy is anything like human anatomy, a shot in the balls would be pretty damn lethal.

A shot to the balls wouldn't kill you, but it would hurt a lot. What Lennox did was distract Blackout, while the F-22s unleashed a missile barrage on him. I believe some of the missiles struck Blackout's chest, and that could have caused damage to the Spark.

No, it didn't kill him. The squad of F-22s firing fuckloads of missiles at him killed him.

Y'know, the entire point of that scene, Epps usuing the laser target, them dsitracting Blackout until the F-22s came.

 

Lennox attacked Blackout's thorax...

He wasnt armored down there, so it was a weak point, a weakness he could exploit to try to kill Blackout. He must have damaged Blackout's main body and maybe even his spine and head, thats why he died.

 

I figured that he was shooting Blackout from underneath because he was less armored there, and he could to more internal damage.
