I'm planning on doing something similar, but different.

I'm doing the biceps purple as well... And metallic so in Revenge mode he looks more uniform.

I'm also planning on painting his hands, thighs, feet and his 'ears' between silver, gun metal and metallic silver... I want him more next mech looking as I'm not a fan of animation colors

And probably doing his face black as well.

Can't really see how to remove his feet, there's a plug....anyone else take him apart?

I didn't mess with the feet so not sure.

One word of advice: throughout the arms there's several little magnets. Don't lose them (they aren't glued in) and make sure they're facing the correct direction when you reinstall them. Chances are they are actually incorrect now. Some of mine were set up so they would repel, not attract each other.

Love the aesthetics, which is the reason I got this figure. Apart from that, its the worst and lazy engineering design.

Could be factory QC, where the precision of the tabs are loose or off, or its just the copy I got is not so good.

 

I thought the engineering was brilliant. It turns a bulbous potato ship into a blocky robot.

And what tabs don't line up for you?

 

Could be bad QC on your copy, or possibly not transforming it quite right. Mine transforms and tabs together perfectly in both modes.
I find this guy really impressive. One of the highlights of my collection.

 

Man, this and the Optimus Prime are really solid figures. A pity we most likely won’t see the rest of the figures (BB Starscream, Soundwave, Ironhide etc) released, seeing as there has been no updates from Lemontree…

 

I transformed this guy back into alt mode last night and was thinking it would be really awesome if they made an autobot do the same thing. I'm not sure which character would fit best with this scheme. Maybe Blaster? Or Grappler? Hot Rod? But I would preorder that in a heartbeat to go with purple potato. I'm sure they could come up with an equally dumb/funny name, like "orange orange". lol

 

How about "Squashed Banana"? Or maybe "Mango Pizza"

So I finally got this guy, and really loved the robot mode. Felt like doing the transformation after a bit and thought it was pretty fun.
And then I got to the legs.

But even after that, really happy I got this guy.

 

for the life of me this thing WON'T fucking stay together. the back halfs WON'T connect i have been trying for an hour

 

They could probably save themselves and me money just making a decently sized shuttle with no transformation gimmick.

 

I've had this figure since it was released. I transformed it to ship mode immediately and that's how it's remained ever since. I already have a couple different MP Shockwaves. This was bought solely for the ship mode.

 

why won't the two halfs of the rear end of this thing stay together. the hell am I doing wrong?

Are all the rear panels in the back sticking up to form a perfect egg shape in the back? The panels can be pushed in real easy and if they're not all out and lined up, then the halves won't stay pegged together. It's hard, I know.

 

I think an omega supreme would look cool like that

 

My guess is the feet aren't quite where they're supposed to be. That was where I ran into issues when I got him.
