Alright, I've been making LEGO Transformers for a long time now, so I thought, Hey, I got an account on TFW, why not post them there? I'm sure they'll get more attention than on MOCPages!

And to kick off I'll start with a little project I like to call the Animated Wingblock Upgrade set!

Yeah, I actually made a Wingblade Optimus upgrade. It's pretty fragile, especially the arm bits, but it looks good. And yes, I know the toy has different hands on the arm bits, but I just couldn't get a design that looked halfway decent.

    Back view:

    Closeup of the Magnus Hammer:

It's nothing special, but I built it for the sake of completeness.

    All the pieces separated:

The overall layout is basically a copy of the actual Wingblade toy.

The guns turned out quite nicely, here is one compared to Voyager Optimus' gun:

Inside view of the gauntlet. The little round part is what attaches it to his arm, the stud clipping nicely into the hollow space in his arm that his hand goes into for vehicle mode:

Here's how the backpack attaches. See how, on the one side, the angled pieces can rotate? And how, on the other side, there is a gap?

Well, the angled parts on both sides rotate so they can latch these little pegs into the spaces circled in the picture above.

The armor CAN sorta go on truck mode, but its basically the parts clipped together and sitting on his axe. Unfortunately, I couldn't find his axe for the photoshoot. When I find it, I'll update with some vehicle pictures.

Until then, enjoy what I have here! I promise there's a lot more to come!

Despite the clashing aesthetic, I like using Lego bits with my TF customs.

I'm thinking that maybe you should combine this upgrade with a Kreo Prime...just to see how it'd look.

Nice! I have tried making a Lego City Commander set a few times, but I never really succeeded. I suppose I might try again, and use Bricklink to make the colors perfect.

I like how the lego gun resembles the actual water squirter gun. Thumbsup!

Sadly, the only KRE-O TFs I own at this point are Basic Optimus and Bumblebee, and if I get any $60 TF anytime soon, it'll be Unicron.

Y'know, I might actually do that sometime.

I scavenged. I got a ton of parts at a garage sale awhile ago, which is where I got the wings. They're actually really old parts, I think.

Yeah, I was even surprised myself at how well they turned out!

Here's a hint for the next creation I hope to take pics of sometime this week:

Yup, it's a LEGO model of the unreleased (at least in the US) Wingblade Optimus Prime toy. I thought it was ridiculous that they didn't release it, seeing how it was a primary part of the last 2 episodes of the cartoon, so I made this.
