The Joust Unit was designed as a soldier with the ability to deal heavy damage to crucial points with great precision. In robot mode, the Unit features a vice grips hand and it's signature Nano Lance on its other arm. The lance, when piercing the enemy, releases a Glass Gas style virus that breaks down armor and core circuitry, spreading out a long distance. This can make target units vulnerable to heavy damage. The wheels from the alt mode that end up on the Unit's shoulders act as scanning devices, used to find the best point to strike. In cannon vehicle mode, the Unit gains a swiveling Electromagnetic Railgun, who's bullets bring enemies closer to the point where it was remotely detonated. The lance can be used to cause much more damage, as the Unit can speed up to ram into the enemy. However, the vehicle cannot turn well, causing fast moving Units to escape from it's trajectory.
