This is a nice looking Bee, really hoping they continue making these.

Even if it means they kinda have to sidestep characters like Megatron and Starscream due to their military-based alt-modes and just give us Cons like Soundwave and Astrotrain.

It's a very important hair. It's the very reason we're having this conversation.

I am liking this post because you are right (and no doubt smart and handsome) but I do not like it, because the truth of it makes me a sad panda. :(

It is so f’ing funny that they’ve got the same things pointing at G1 Bee when half of them are pointing at something that doesn’t exist on that design.

Not really. The evergreen guide specifies front fenders on the shoulders (not rear) and the rear of the car— not the front— forming the legs. This LEGO design is reversed (or upside down) from the evergreen model, and more in line with the original G1 toy.

I feel like the design/transformation is similar to POTP Bee:

Oof, that looks rough. I own the Lego Optimus Prime, love him, but this? I... doubt I'll be getting it.

Honestly, I'm of the opinion this looks pretty good for what it is and for the very reasonable (as far as Lego goes) pricepoint of $90. Optimus was almost double that price.

Not all Transformers, even the more simplistic G1-styled ones, are going to lend themselves well to Lego, and I think they did a perfectly good job here given Bumblebee is known for being a bit more rounded, versus the boxy Optimus Prime or Soundwave.

Speaking of which, Soundwave would be a perfect fit for this line...

It is worth noting that Lego is pretty inconsistent with this kind of thing. There are a lot of weird nuances on what they consider a "modern war" vehicle. They have some very warlike and war based stuff in their catalog (sci fi tanks, a sopwith camel, the aforementioned plane) but then they have stuff that is only slightly war like that got removed. Trying to logic this out to predict what lego will and won't allow is pretty much impossible. We won't know what they will allow until they allow it.

I have Lego Prime and love it. Really not feeling this one. I don't need the cast in Lego form, Prime is enough.

Honestly, this was catching some flak for the head design when it got leaked, but it looks much better on the in hand photos. He does look pretty odd from the side though.
