Yeah I was never able to track that one down? I assumed it was from the leaked factory samples only because Gold Bee's RTS deco changed between sample and retail as well if I remember correctly.

No, it definately made it to retail. There was one revision case that had one starscream and he had a white head. I had one till I sold it on eBay recently (for $1 plus shipping, unfortunately). I saw at least 5 at a 5 below (they had probly 10 cases, and 15-20 regular ones).
There should also be "early 2014" versions of Optimus Prime and Starscream which are basically the "late 2012" versions without the weapons. Thank you so much for these comparison shots. Is there a difference between the TRU exclusive and the early 2014 ? I can't really see the autobot logos clear enough to see a difference.
Don't forget these all got some sort of release via the EZ series in Japan too - and some of those they are crazy for reissuing Like Optimus and Prowl. The Japanese G2 Optimus is quite nice.
