Hi Guys - i've been putting a fair amount of bits and pieces of progress in my Shapeways thread over in fan art and i've been patiently waiting for the first set of prints from shapeways for the Prime add-on kit - and today it arrived!

Basically - to give you guys a bit of background, I've had RTS Legends Optimus sat on my desk for a good couple of years and the thing has always bugged me to no end!

    No knees, no gun.....no roller!

So basically, I've been working on a set of add-ons that give Prime a bit of height, knee and toe movements - all whilst still allowing him to transform!

    So, onto the kit in essence;

Which Makes these; (with some good painting ;)  haha)

Basically it gives Prime, knee joints as well as toes! (if I can get the arms figured out I'll have a go at them too haha!)

    So today they arrived!

This is what they looked like outta the box (excuse the iPhone pics - I have no other camera atm!)

    Excellent!

Although the hips on the RTS prime do need a little bit of plastic removing (which I shall show you on another post) and the knee and toe joints need a little thickening (i'm hoping superglue may do the trick as it's not a lot it needs) it is all how I expected!

The last wheel on the leg is free running - though you may need to sand the rod a bit to get it rolling perfect - but i'm not too fussed about that, and I'm going to sort out hip socket, it's like minor minor things!

....and the kit doesn't finish there!

There is a mini prime gun and roller! They are both brilliant, although the intended was for roller to fit prime as a backpack - I did seem to extrude out something that I really should have extruded the other way so it's a little too thick as a backpack - but works fine as a roller drone!

And the little dude in gun drone mode...

So when all is said and done - Prime is looking more like this!

Excuse the 'one-step' vibe, I just want to do a proper step through - so I can't install the second leg yet as I need to take pics of it's installation

anyways, I've got a prime to reconfigure - and lots more in the pipeline! (did anyone say Legends Ultra Magnus upgrade kit? ;)  )

I'd love to hear some feedback guys :)

    Hope you enjoy!

Diddy Roller is sweeeeeeeeeeet. I'm rather stoked to see this in the fles- er, in the plastic.

Now get Ultra Magnus finished in time for the white version of this mould, and scale it up to work on the Cyber Battalion Prime, too. :p

Haha I love the little roller - he even has three little seats!

I'm hoping to get the Magnus add on sorted - and then it would be ace to get it on the bigger prime!

    Cheers dude!

I'm hopefully going to get some time to spend on it over the next few days - so I'm gonna make it a masterpiece! ;)

I am always conscious over how much things cost but this is literally a $20 set - and that's only if you want it all! I put the legs/roller/blaster up separately as I know people may want to mix and match - plus with the cost of them you can see I'm not really in this for the money haha I just want transformers with legs that move!

    Me neither!

The kit has an extra couple of things added now - but they're a bit hush hush ;)

But this is pretty much the crux of the kit

    • Replacement Legs (that will still allow for transformation)
    • A Chestplate (which i'm still figuring out what to do with when transformed - unless there is not a problem with parts forming haha)
    • A ball jointed head
    • Shoulderstacks that clip into prime's existing shoulders
    • and a couple of extra secret bits to make him more Magnus-y

and a quick digibash of what it should look like (which would be even better with the new Legends Magnus that's coming out!)

Hopefully taking advantage of the Shapeways discount this week to get the first prints!

    **Update guys!**

Right - i've been stacked out at work, and I literally have had no time to set up some good photos of prime yet so please bear with and I shall get some nice shots for you :)

But to tide you over - I've finally got the legs (somewhat) on

needs a bit of joint tightening - so any UK based ideas would be ace!

    but he's looking pretty rad!

I really like the idea of that Magnus kit, can't wait to see an actual print of it, cause I'm thinking I might have to get it to go on my old legends Prime.

I've got a bottle of this to try out:

Quick Shine® Floor Finish in floor and carpet cleaners at Lakeland

Apparently, it's more or less the same stuff as Future, I'll let you know how it works out (even if, annoyingly, it's not currently available).

So I got down to making prime less floppy - coat of super glue on ball joints, worked a treat! I also bought a new prime just to show comparison

Also Sorry guys it's only letting me post one image at a time!

    First up - alt mode
