Hehehe, I remember in Daggerfall, walking into a tavern, and in one of the upstairs rooms, I found two women dressed in leather. One was on her knees and the other was standing by her with a whip drawn. I stood there confused for a moment..."Does this happen in video game worlds too." lol

Played the demo at PAX - will take some getting used to but I'm looking forward to it. Gonan have to either get the remote pack or a plus attachment for my current remotes.

From what you played did the game feel like the 1:1 was really accurate?

But more importantly, did it feel like the swinging was an afterthought to the actual game, or did it feel like a forced gimmick like the stylus controls on the DS Zeldas?

I'm not sure If I'm the only one here, but I actually cringed when I heard them bragging about 100 minutes of cinematic cutscenes.

Really looking forward to this game! Also... Amazon.ca doesn't have a pre-order for the bundle with the Zelda Wiimote. I am a sucker for stuff like that (see my Zelda DS). And also because I haven't played a Wii game since before the Wii Motion Plus was even ANNOUNCED. So I need a wiimote with that built in >_<

November will be a good month. Super Mario 3D Land, Skyward Sword, and Prime toys. Plus, Skyward Sword has 100 hours of gameplay. I know what my life will consist of entirely until January-ish.

Speaking as one dad to another (soon to be), yes you will. You have to find something to entertain you when he/she's up at night.

Thanks for the reassurance! I was just telling my wife, also a huge Zelda fan, that we can take turns holding the baby and playing Skyward Sword. :D

Is it bad that I never got to finish Twilight Princes? Should I finish it before playing this one??

You don't need to play that one, and I don't blame you for not finishing it. The first ten hours of the game were so slow.

But they did do a pretty good job with development and setting up the story. Afterwards, it gets a LOT better too. It also has a lot of the most unique items Zelda has ever had. The Spinner and Clawshots were some of my favorite items in any Zelda game.Although the Clawshots will be in Skyward Sword, too. In fact there are a LOT ofitems in SkywardSword, and a lot of them are either entirely new or never seen in a 3DZelda game before. So far they've confirmed:
the Gust Jar, the Mole Mitts, the Beetle, the Double Clawshots, the Hero's Bow, a Cloth used as a parachute, and Bottles (obviously).
I may have missed one,but those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

    Bombs, slingshot, and whip
are in as well. There's also going to be some form of instrument.

I can't wait to sit on my butt and play this during my Christmas vacation. I already told my wife I want it (the limited bundle with the gold Wiimote). I'm just about done re-playing OOT on my 3DS, so this release just can't come fast enough.

I would have never previously considered a Zelda title for any system, let alone the Wii, but after giving OoT 3D a shot and loving it, went ahead and grabbed a preorder for the Wiimote Plus bundle. Fingers crossed for a discount down the road... November isn't a great month, and that's not even counting any other video games.
