Out of all the Legacy/Kingdom Beast Wars figures, Silverbolt might be the most fun to mess with. The transformation is so enjoyable and smooth, you don't feel like its work at all flipping between the modes.

His bot mode is fun and posable, but I do agree he needs more paint. The beat mode is fun, and crazy posable once you untab the limbs!

The wings are loose, but I've come to expect that on all of the winged creatures so far. Maybe Magamatron will be better.

Highly recommended, and I can't tell you a single thing about this character other than he's got the hots for Spider Lady!

I think it's very strange that this thing doesn't follow the basic transformation scheme of the original. They had no trouble doing roughly the original transformation for Megatron, Cheetor, Primal, and a couple of others.

Especially because this thing has a bunch of the transformation joints as basically kibble. Super weird.

Think Patrick Warburton with wings, in a wolf mask.

Suddenly now I want to see clips of Yzma and Kronk reanimated as Blackarachnia and Silverbolt. :)

I got mine on Wednesday and added black to the talons, claws and the spiked(?) ring on his torso. I also did gold on the knuckles and elbows. I also gave his wolf head pupils and irises.

I’d highly recommend adding the black as I think it makes all the difference.

    (pics when I get home) IMG_4160.jpeg IMG_4159.jpeg

I applied a second coat so the talons don’t look as sloppy. Also, I still have to seal everything and that will make it nice and smooth and shiny.

From what I found with a search, they look like shiny (possibly chromed) black.

I also added white for the teeth and I think it looks amazing. I was going to display in bot mode, but now it seems like a shame.

EDIT: and painted the tongue too bc that makes sense.

Did you remove the pin in order to get better access to the tongue for painting?

I did not. I was just very careful, used a magnifying glass with light and cleaned up the very small amount of over brush with thinner.

Why black vs dark silver or something more show accurate?

Looked black to me in the screenshots. Plus black shines up really well.

Such a goofy figure. Such an improvement over the original, but so many things should/could have been done that really would have made it even better.

The wolf head is my biggest let peeve as they should have given it proper articulation. The missing articulation of the wolf's front legs also blocks so much possibilities that he ends up fairly static. The other thing that looks off is the very short tail that doesn't even cover the back section.

I do enjoy the figure but it gives me the vibe of them just wanting to do an updated BW but not bring it to being a full modern version.

The robot mode is where he shines more, but again, some weird choices in the designs really should/could have been done better.

But still, it's not a bad figure, just that there are many shortcomings that means that maybe one day, we may get one that would easily outdo this one.

The head sculpt is seriously on point on this one!! The wings are a little too low for me but, still, overall really fun toy

Just found this guy at Target today and got him on discounted price.

Never thought we'd see a new Beast Wars Silverbolt figure (or Beast Wars figures in general), but they've mostly all been great. We just need a Depth Charge, Rampage, and Quickstrike to complete the core casts of the show now...and if they ever get to finally doing Transmetal versions of characters.

I can see quickstrike done as a core class a but like rattrap, but for rampage and depthcharge...given their size, that mean they have to be leader class...
