Definitely doesn’t look bad, but quality and need wise I think I feel comfortable cancelling my preorder and waiting for a sale.

Wave 1 usually ends up warming stores so I think I’ll get a decent discount by the Spring.

PSA: when you’re folding the crotch cloth/ bird wing in beast mode. DO NOT FOLD THE WHOLE PIECE DOWN TO THE ROBOT CHEST. IT WILL CHIP THE PAINT. I’ve already scraped some of the paint off and I’ve Gundam markered that spot.

I think a lot of that is due to the guy filming trying to do too much at once or messing up the order of steps. I'm sure a PvP/Emgo/Mangmotion/SwiftTransform video will have a smoother transformation.

As for the chest in beast mode, I'm a bit concerned about that too, but it could simply be due to not collapsing the hinges properly:

I'm guessing the two purple pieces on the right need to be in full contact with one another.

Many others are having way better progress in making reviews earlier than primevsprime.

I never go for gap fillers, they seem pointless to me. I'm gonna end up breaking that streak for them, the wings need them badly.

Looks amazing otherwise and I cant wait to get them.

I picked one up over the weekend at an EB Games.

I must say - super impressed. Probably counter to the sentiment in here, but I think this is a fantastic figure.

Right off the bat, I scored good QC. Everything is as tight as it needs to be which these days is a boon to be honest.

Both modes are imposing and characterful. The figure has a fantastic presence, thanks to the wings in large part.

I found the transformation fun and unique. I love the way that it shifts mass from the chest to the front and rear of the animal mode. I guess I lucked out and got a chest that closes properly.

No big complaints for me. A few minute things (legs feel maybe slightly short in robot mode?). The wings look worse in pictures than in hand tbh. They don't bother me that much, but then maybe I'm an apologist.

Of all of the Leader Class figures I've purchased this year (G2 and SG Grimlock, 101 Scourge, Armada Megatron) this is probably the best tbh.

On further investigation I think the guy in the video just isn't transforming the figure right to be honest. The 'cockpit' arm locks into place against the robot belly perfectly fine for the chest halves to close if you do it properly.

Yeah he’s really hamfisting it. Pretty clear he isn’t accustomed to the transformation process yet. He makes the whole thing look so much harder than it is.

Are the hands pinned in place or do they clip in? Just trying to work out how likely a pair of upgrade hands will be

prime vs prime had this figure so long ago too but for some reason isn't posting review until XMAS. The figure was in the background of one of his reviews what feels like a month or more ago.

So I don’t find the lifting beast head flap to be necessary 99% of the time for shoulder articulation, but it’s a great touch in beast mode to allow the head to sit up properly and look you in the eye. I hate how most pics out there have him looking at the ground.

I love the fact that people are saying the transformation is finicky or involved.

The original, and I have Universe 1.0 Razorclaw as a centerpiece to 1 of my shelves, the original's transformation was THIS but with spring loaded gimmicks.

Outside of the Hollow wings this thing looks fabulous. The piston thing is problematic, and I told myself I already had Razorclaw, after reading the OP, yep "buy on sight".

Home from work with COVID so I was messing around with this at lunch. Really characterful in robot mode. So much presence.

I'll probably be passing on TH unless I see him on sale sometime. I'm just not feeling 50$ here.

KNOW however, that I will get the mold if they do a Razorclaw from him.
