He's great and I'll get him (and I say this as someone who owns both versions of Missing Link Op). I do wish he were a Voyager, but I suppose they didn't want SS86 Op to have any competition.

For the people that don't know Missing Link is a thing, this is a good idea. However, those people may not want a strictly looking G1 Prime. Those people may be mainly children that want a better aesthetic.

So about the same size as Sideswipe. Though from the picture of OG Prime it looks like the tires are the same size.

I love my Missing Link Prime, but I definitely see a place for this guy, too. ML feels more like a collector’s piece than a toy, like this. I would also welcome hundreds of repaints of this mold.

I do like how the smokestacks can be used as handheld guns now. Looks good as a good fiddle toy that isn’t terribly expensive. Would love to see it repainted in white and with new armorizer parts to become an alternate torso for SS86 Ultra Magnus.

Uphill battle to surpass Missing Link and for the price, no one should expect it to. Hoping final deco is better than what we’ve seen in the IG pics. Main benefit of this over Missing Link Prime is the ability to store the axe and rifle in cab mode.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this is a better fit for the Earthrise trailer seeing as how Legacy Laser Prime’s trailer was actually a great fit for RTS Laser Prime released 10 years prior.

Are you sure? I see two black rifles in the photos, but one rifle and an axe on the box.

He includes two guns, one toy style and the other cartoon style, an axe, and his smokestacks can also be used as guns.

I wonder how the ER trailer would look with his, and if it will hook up to it?

I own Toy ML and a Regular G1 and will still be buying this, the last time we got this scale was Ultimate battle dvd and robot masters almost 20 years ago. It’s about time for another go to desk prime, core is fine and I love that too but this is in its own league.

Perfect, that’s what I wasn’t clear on because the box only depicted one gun. Glad that both rifle styles are included!!

Am I mad that they sold me Missing Link first and then revealed this? YES I AM.

Will I buy this because I'm a sucker for G1 Prime? YES I (PROBABLY) WILL.

Are they gonna reveal Commander Optimus, which will look identical to this but upscaled and full of useless accessories? YOU KNOW IT.

At least this is a good alternative for kids and people paranoid to play with chrome and diecast parts and like 1/3 the price. Wonder if we'd get inevitable exclusive version with nicer paint and used to death er trailer down the line.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Hot Wheels is a straight scaled-down version of the OG Prime, without the modern articulation of the Missing Links. It's a very niche (and overpriced tbh) collector piece, as are the MLs, whereas this is a wide and affordable release for all.

Oh wow, I thought this'd simply be a deluxe Optimus with toy colors, I didn't expect Missing Ling lite! Honestly, for a deluxe price point, this is mad nice. Even the single part skirt piece is a lot more palatable to me here, as it's really just supposed to be the truck mode bumper rather than an entire ass crotch. Also, I'd love to see this as Ultra Magnus with an exoskeleton\trailer at either a voyager or leader price point. I know Kingdom Maggie wasn't that long ago, but I've always thought that toy's a little compromised, and it'd be a really cool toy-vs-toon style companion piece for '86 Magnus.

That'd be sweet, I'd imagine it'd also look a lot more proportionate on him with how much smaller he is than ER Prime.

This is really nice. Hope we see more toy version influences that actually change a release structurally.
