Seems like it's a new Takara crowd-funding project?
In association with Televi-Kun

A crowdfunding project is all they're saying on Twitter.
Interesting. There's not much info about it. Added the teaser image to the first post.
Why do a crowdfund on a repaint of an old mold? They should of used the effort on a combiner crowdfund.
Geez i like the golden lagoon episode but i didnt think it was that popular
They price Mp44 like that then talk about Crowdfunding?
Does Spence work for Takara now?
I bet a KO company could do this for a fraction of the price.
BTW, isn't the Transformers brand a billion dollar franchise by now? The movies alone made bank, so why are the billionaires asking for crowdfunding from us peasants?
as if mp10 hasn\'t had enough repaints, let\'s just keep doing lazy stuff for anniversaries. ugh
Interesting... what could TT have up their sleve with this random announcement? Imma very intrigued.
We still don't know the full details of the project. The golden G1 Prime on the image is just a promotional picture.
It could be a secret project / development to create a hyper realistic, fully AI functional, 8 foot tall Convoy robot for all we know. Hence the request for a crowd fund.
Twitter link doesn\'t work. It says I\'m \"rate limited\".
It's not, one colour repaints are just really easy
I am not an artist, so legitimate question. Is there a reason other than cost that all these recent gold figures (LP Soundwave, MP YOTSomething Soundwave, Golden Lagoon, This) have that yellow on so much of the figure as opposed to gold paint? Guessing the simplest answer of wear and tear over time on joints is probably it, but this yellow "gold" kills my interest in a lot of these figures (though I still may pick up the perceptor pack at some point).
From what I've heard it's to prevent paint damage.
One word: GPS. Read up on it.
I was just joking but ok
