Thinking on these guys more, loving the new Bulkhead now! Appreciate the more G1 style & proportions (I feel the Animated ones were pretty perfect as they were tbh)

Also, not sure if anyone’s mentioned but with the rear tarpaulin cover remolded Bulkhead would make a pretty great Pyro too!

Nice! Bulkhead getting the G1 treatment after Lugnut, Slipstream. Lockdown Adventure was just a recolor iirc. When will he get the G1 treatment?

Seeing Bulkhead alt mode being compared makes me wonder, why they didn't use the Animated Bulkhead alt mode more often? It's cool and you can make lot of bot mode based on that thing.

Its a conspiracy man, the Hasbro agenda is real, and it doesn't stop until we get a Commander Class Thunderclash and MW Optimus redeco!

They are two of the most dull, unexciting new figures I've seen in years

Every time someone says these words someone pops up to chime in with this. It's less an attempt to make a serious conspiracy and more a commentary on the imbalance of treatment non-G1 gets. Chill out. Hasbro prioritizes G1 to a slavish degree but can't even be assed here to try and make Bulkhead remotely accurate to his show design. It's frustrating as hell.

bulkhead transformers in Action Figures | eBay

Seems to be selling quite often in the 30-40$ range. They look show accurate.

Dery's designs were completely original and probably weren't meant to be a pretool for some other characters.

Only common with a bunch of people who likely already have an Animated or Prime Bulkhead toy but wanted Hasbro to just make the same toy all over again anyway. But they were clearly trying something different here.

There's nothing different about making Bulkhead look like Grapple.

More like a bunch of people who aren't exactly excited about Hasbro retrofitting characters they loved to fit in with a bland and boring "G1 aesthetic" if they ever wanted to see toys of them again...

Enh. I'm not sure I'm into that kinda partsforming at the voyager scale. Also, listen, it's not that it's not "animated but updated", it's that it basically ignores the main aesthetic of the character. I mean, sure, Bulkhead is usually a big boy, but he's MUSCULAR. He's a sumo wrestler. He's the Kingpin. He's not JUST fat. His arms and legs are thick.

This guy looks like it could have been anybody else and they just popped a different head on the mold. It's like when MMC made a not-Bulkhead by putting his head on Strika's body. And it's not that it doesn't look like a Generations mold... it looks like a Cyberverse mold.
