I absolutely should have done, yep. I'm still toying with the idea of buying the Toyhax G2 stickers for my RTS Jazz, so I can have both versions.

Skids looks fine but could they have not done anything else with Bulkhead? Like he's the big guy you could at least bulk up the arms to make him look more interesting, why just box and stick arms?

I got Crosscut from years ago trust me that mold isn't good. It's articulation is severely limited and his feet barely keep him standing due to it.

I know this, and I love his chair. That's not the distressing part.

I figured it out. Dude's hands are too normal. Prime had massive sausage fingers, Animated had, like, claw game hands. This dude had boring old fists. Change that and he'd look closer to a Bulkhead

Everybody remember when Hound’s vehicle mode was first spotted on set and everyone thought it was 100% going to be Bulkhead?

And now Bulkhead turns into a stock version of the exact same thing.

(Although the shape of the windows does seem to pull from another vehicle.)

Generic blocky robot with a massive front of a vehicle for his torso.
Plenty of random non Hasbro transforming robots exactly like that...

Honestly, just swap the length of the arms and the legs on Bulkhead and then his proportions are perfection.

I get what they are going for, but the first thing I saw was a garbage truck.

Skids looks pretty good. It's not my favorite G1 design, but I'll be happy to get him.

Bulkhead ..... I have mixed feelings about this one. I'm a big fan of both Prime and Animated Bulkhead, so not gonna lie - I would have preferred an updated figure of either of those. At the same time, I can't deny that this version is kind of cool. Definitely not the the way I would have designed it, but it looks like a fun figure nonetheless. I'll probably end up purchasing him. Guess I'll have to hit eBay to get a Prime Bulkhead.

I will say this though - if they do TFP Arcee and Knockout, I certainly hope they go with something closer to those characters' designs. Those are two of my all time favorite Transformers.

Also, is it just me, or does it look like those figures were photographed in a fish tank?

Grimlockimus over on Twitter said he's potentially inspired to repaint Bulkhead in to a pre-Beast Rhinox and I'd love that!

You know, having pre-BW designs for the Beast Wars characters sounds like a fun idea.

what I really want to know is what\'s the deal with those trans-clear weapons. They\'re very obviously some kind of side add-on thing and most likely combine(maybe?) into something cool

something I'm finding really annoying is this idea that wfc/generations aesthetic=g1 aesthetic. the wfc aesthetic is adding extra surface detail, trying to go for a semi-"realistic" appearance, and turning design compromises into part of the character's updated design. remeber last year when all the beast wars characters were done in the g1 aesthetic? because I certainly don't

And you might want to see Hasbro Pulse again
Where Studio Series is listed as a separate line from Generations.

I was planning on skipping all the stuff based on Animated, Prime, etc. because I didn't care for the aesthetics (no shade they just weren't for me; the shows were well written/acted). I feel bad for anyone that was looking forward to faithful or slightly different takes on the characters from those shows.

Armada/Energon/Cybertron weren't hyper stylized but, I do wonder how far they are going to pull away from the source material based on Bulkhead and all those sharp AF 90° body panels on Skids. The Honda City Turbo was super boxy but, even it hand rounded transitions on the edges/corners. I mean, the G1 toy was more aerodynamic than this mold is. Skids is a borderline caricature of the Sunbow model and if that's where Generations is headed, I'll simply retire from collecting again (possibly grabbing something here and there) and enjoy what I have. I was prepared for a bit of a content drought but, I wasn't planning on seriously considering skipping G1 releases in Legacy.

I know that there are people that have been wanting mass release general retail Sunbow toys though so, you do you and enjoy it . . .
