Another great thing about the Energon weapons is that they're just add-ons and the figures come with their classic accessories too. They're clearly thinking about giving those extra weapons to more characters and who knows? They might even build into more classic accessories as well.

"Legacy" is a misnomer. Clearly this is "Box Wars: Transformers," where all the characters turn into rolling or flying boxes. A bit late to try and cash in on the Minecraft aesthetic.

 

Those are great points, I do take back my statement earlier, in fact I take back all I've said in the Mirage thread, I'm just a bit upset we've had perfectly accurate G1 (And BW for that matter) for the past years but just homages for the other lines, nothing is wrong this this Bulkhead, in fact I like it, it just doesn't feel like Bulkhead just as ROTB Mirage doesn't feel like Mirage, I'm all open to change I just want accurate updates before the change

Am I wrong in thinking that Bulkhead is an extensive Inferno remold? Gives me the feeling of what AOE Hound would look like in G1, but then again wasnt that supposed to be Bulkhead to begin with?

Skids doesnt look particularly good. I need someone to do a new take on IDW Skids cause the T30 figure is too small. You hear nme MMC?

At the time it felt like AoE Hound was trying to be Prime Bulkhead with Kup's attitude. So this tracks.

Actually, kinda feels like what happened here. Similar to how Bay Barricade crossed over in to the G1 style during WfC, they wanted to adapt Bay Hound...but there's *already* a Hound in the G1 style so they went with him as Bulkhead.

I'm trying to force myself to like Bulkhead as he was one of my most anticipated figures from the listings, but damn does it look rough. I like the idea of mixing many incarnations of the character (AoE Hound included too), but the execution leaves a lot to be desired, he needed to be rounder and tubby, not a generic box bot with Bulkhead's face.

 

When I first saw the image on the front page, I legit thought these were Cyberverse or something.

 

Both toys kinda feel like first drafts to me, like the designer was going to refine it, clean it up and sand down the rough edges, but Hasbro went "Naw, that's good, ship it out the door."

Seems like transparent "Energon Weapons" are the gimmick of the line, hopefully combinable into bigger and better boom-booms, and presumably tied in to those upcoming 'Energon Monster' toys.

Skids looks like a toy that could go either way for me. It looks a little awkward and a bit boxier than it needs to be, but if the posing and the transformation are hassle-free, I'll be happy. T30 Skids looked better overall, but had a lot of annoying issues that made it not much fun to mess with IMO.

I am just not feeling Bulkhead ... at ALL. Apparently the rumors that claimed it was a shared mold/pre-tool for an Optimus toy were right, 'cause this literally looks like a military truck Optimus with a Bulkhead noggin stuck on. Personally I was hoping more for an Animated Bulkhead homage than Prime, but this is neither. Maybe it could've worked with a more curved or sloping truck front end, and shorter, stockier legs combined with beefier arms, but right now, this is generic box truck bot with a Bulk... head, not very different from T30 Inferno/Grappel/Hot Spot/Botcon Pyro. Right now, if this is how Bulkhead is treated, I'm concerned for the other Prime characters teased, like Arcee, Knockout, and the rest.
