You have 2 figures from the entire line. That isn't enough to form a basis of expectations really

Knockout being a retool of 86 Jazz was speculation the spread like wildfire and is regarded on par with actual leaks and you still have no idea what Shine Starscream will look like.

And I don't recall Bumblebee pissing on people or Optimus being a war criminal. But you can still see clear inspiration from their namesakes, and honestly, AOE Hound looks a lot more like Animated Bulkhead than a lot of Bay designs do with their G1 namesakes. (And not to nitpick but I always did see Animated Bulkhead's design as having a beard.)

"Why did you a have to G1ify him."

Generally from experience if it's something said person cares about personally it's 'justifiably disappointed', if they don't then they're 'freaking out'.

But it does evoke the character. He's bulky, has Bulkhead's mace fist and has Bulkhead's head, not to mention he's clearly based on the Animated design.

    He's Bulkhead.

Hey, uh, does Bulkhead have Mini-con ports on the sides of his shield/robot kibble cover?

Hound is not Bulkhead. You might even say they're two totally different characters, with two totally different names. Otherwise, they would've just called AOE Hound "Bulkhead" then. That's the exact approach the Animated crew did with Bulkhead: inspired by Hound, but ultimately developed into a totally separate character.

Back on topic: this toy is a big ol' pile of dookie, and even Hasbro doesn't seem to know which version of the character this is actually supposed to be. I guess they only listen to screen accuracy if you're a BW, G1, or movie fan.

I would beg to differ and say he's way more based on Prime. Then again, that design was also already based on animated so... Guess the argument is invalid. But, not to mention that Hasbro themselves are referring to it as Prime Bulkead and not Animated so yea. Idk what to make of it myself

I am so fucking HERE for Bulkhead. That is 100% how I wanted to see my favorite TFA/TFP character reimagined for a G1 aesthetic. Nice work, Hasbro.

    Skids is cool too.

Oh wow would you look at that, what the leaks said was true and bulkhead looks nothing like himself outside of his head and is just a G1 version of em.

What a waste of the name. G1 gets nothing but faithful designs while Hasbro spits in the faces of TFP fans. This looks more like a G1 version of movie hound than it does bulkhead.

Knockout being a retool came from the same leakers you said told use that Bulkhead was G1ified and showed us the art that was really spot on to his vehicle mode and partly his bot mode.

It's not anymore of a "rumor" as G1 Bulkhead was.

“Shine Starscream?” That’s a new one. Who gave out that info?

I've always wanted a Generations style Bulkhead but honestly this is kinda disappointing. I really wanted to like it and I still do want to but it looks too simplistic and doesn't mesh very well together. He does put them bulk in Bullhead though. I guess some designs in one style doesn't necessarily work in another.

Skids looks a but hollow but he does look better than the Generations version though. Definitely will be getting him..

The only thing that bothers me is the slight quality reduction compared to War For Cybertron. Maybe its how hollow Skids is. Or that Green paint Bulkhead has

You poor poor Prime fans.... This is what happens when you want to shoehorn a line into the G1 continuity... They did it with Beast Wars. G1 is where it all started. It's where it will stay. It all comes back. You don't like it. Okay. You can't dictate what gets made but you can dictate what you buy and how you act. Put your big person pants on, take a deep breath and say your piece without the tantrum.

Beast Wars shares continuity with G1 though.

Looks like it. Leaks say there's an Armada Starscream on the way so yea. Not sure why they decided to actually put those pegs on him, but whatevs. If anything, it's just more pegs for weapons to load him out

Why? There's no reason to expect they won't still be Sunbow-inspired. Skids is still G1-accurate.

But why call it prime bulkhead when it looks nothing like him other than the head and weapon
