Somebody is going to custom some Menasor hands from Jetfire's, I just know it.

I mean jet fire style hands or a simple tab on the sword would fix that.

The more I look at motor master, the more I notice misses opportunities.

I've been looking at the magic Square version and I don't get why it's more accurate than legacy. Does anyone like the textured purple windows on legacy's legs? Or that his feet don't stick out quite as much as his calves?

I just got a look at CW MM. The face on that guy is one of a maniac's! Very angry; evil.

I know these are relatively Minor nitpicks, but it bugs me just a little.Grass is always greener, I guess.

Legacy still looks good. I want him, but ... missed opportunities.

The windows on his legs are one of the things holding me back from getting Motormaster (and the fact that he’s $10 more than previous Commanders). His upper body above his torso looks great. If his legs looked smoother, I might ignore the price increase and buy him. As it is now, I think I’ll get Dead End and Breakdown if I like them and call it done. It’s a shame. His trailer base looks great. (I’ll echo the sentiment that he should be redecoed in Thunderclash colors. I’d buy him instantly if he was.)

It's really a matter of personal preference, I think every addition they've made is an improvement because I find the animation model very boring and generic.

Fair enough. I just find the textures to be unnecessarily organic in appearance. I just would have preferred the straightforward purple windows the character is known for. I guess it bugs me too, that 3rd parties come closer to the source n than the source creators.

Looking at Motormaster again, it just occurred to me: What do you think the odds are that Hasbro will retool Menasor into Optimus Maximus as another Masquerade homage? :)

just noticed one thing about Motormaster:
    motormaster baseb.jpg
Where that portion of the trailer is used/supposed to be used in the combiner? I can't figure it out.
Any chance they missed to use it in the rendering, but it supposed to cover up Motormaster body on the combiner back?

    Legacy Menasor Behind The Scenes-02.jpg

Mark's BTS schematics do depict Menasor with a sizeable blocky backpack.

problem with this schematics: looking at it it looks like an early concept where Motormaster transformed from the whole truck+trailer, and it transformed also in the combiner frame, rather than the actual design where Motormaster forms only the cab.

to me it looks like they were going the route of TRANSFORMISSION. with motormaster being the cab and half the trailer as the second sketch only show one set of double wheels and the sketch before shows 2 sets. Also the schematic shows parts of the trailer being the shest and arms in the combination sketch.

It don’t get used. Mark talked about how the gun emplacements is adjustable in height for Motormaster or Menasor; this didn’t make sense until I realized that the front of the sides, top, and bottom of the trailer doesn’t become part of the combiner.

I can’t 100% say yes, but between Mark’s comment and our inability to account for those parts of the trailer anywhere, I’m feeling quite confident.

sounds interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if you could use them on the back of the combiner to give him a more squarish look similar to his toy version.

Yup, a lot of people missed this, but he mentioned how the emplacement can be used for both.

The MM box art is growing on me. It's not just evocative of retro-synthwave 80s graphics, but the campy-level hamfisting of Knight Rider down our throats with a jumping Wild Rider reminded me immediately of that old Kenner Knight Rider car crash set where KITT jumps through the COMTRON semi trailer. That was such fun back then.

Seriously, MM is meant to look so much like Goliath in that image he should really come with a tiny Garth Knight.

Did he say that specifically? The way he showed it sounded more like it could be adjusted for Voyagers on the shorter and taller ends of the spectrum. The height adjustment he showed consisted of flipping the binos over to add about half an inch. Now I’m wondering if I missed something while watching the stream.
