    1. Im not talking about recreating "toy" gimmicks I'm talking about representation of the character. To me, the Gold Giant Planet key is a similar thing as a G1 Optimus Prime and the Matrix of leadership. It's a little annoying when its not included. The red triangle is a bad example.

    2. I never said it needed to be 1:1 I quite like all the changes they've made. if I did, I would be complaining about the face sculpt as well.

    3. While I understand and agree with your POV here, toy production =/= programing. We are talking about having a square hole on the figure and a single extra piece of plastic to go in it. These things could have simply been included during the design process (especially if it was just a dummy slot, I'm not expecting the entire gimmick) there was a deliberate decision to not include it, but including it would have been no harder than omitting it. its just surface detailing, a process which was already necessary in the design of the figure.

edit: (there is even already a spot it could have even gone! They added the detail of the key slot in the general area the key would have gone anyway! All it would have needed was a hole and a key to go in it.)

So yes. it would have been easy to include a dummy slot for a key.

(unrelated to the key, the inclusion of a minicon or a micromaster is another thing entirely, and i get that.)

I gotta say, I'm having the samd reaction I did when I saw the Commander Motormaster. I already had decided to skip him but now I'm having second thoughts.

The price tag makes it easier to keep firm on my decision, but if he goes on sale, I would probably bite.

Its hard to get a gauge, but I honestly don't think that the crowd that agrees that G1 is too much right now is a vocal minority. I've seen that sentiment brought up too often on these forums and elsewhere, and even YouTube videos I've made on that subject have gotten some traction. I just think most of the discussion of G1 in regards to this Metroplex is just because the 2013 Metroplex was the first Titan figure and was released almost 9 years ago. The Titans have improved substantially since then and he, along with Fort Max, does stick out as a "first attempt".

When our worlds are in danger but Hasbro isn't releasing cyber planet keys anymore so there's nothing we can do about it.

Gotta commend the guts on Hasbro’s part to go for this character. Don’t have much connection to him but the design looks pretty good.

but surely Hasbro, no way in hell this thing takes 52 steps to transform.

Didn’t but the original for 50 when I was following the line and picked up transformers collecting again and I certainly won’t be picking up this new titan class at 200
No attachment to the figure even when I was really into cybertron trilogy saves me some money

I'm surprised Hasbro felt there was a market for Cyb.Metroplex fans who will pay 200 US$ for him.
Cool for those who like him. I hope he sells well.

You don't mean, ...the elusive "Really Easy Pass" ???!!!

Yeah I don’t see it, maybe they count turning him into his alternate bot mode as part of the step count to get him to vehicle mode. That or 10+ Steps are dedicated to flipping/hiding antennas or cannons.

I've decided I'm gonna skip him. If I have $200 I'm going to spend it on characters I actually know, like Prime Universe and/or G1.

Imagine a prime universe Nemesis… I’d easily shell out the cash for that.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the original figure was a simple Transformation.
I'll guess his core Transform steps are about 26, then 26 more steps for the fine details you can get with Titan class.

I like the design. Not sure if I am going to buy it as I am trying to find Titan Metroplex (the original) but this is definitely a good one.

Tired: "Who cares about engineering. Look at how short it is."

Wired: "I don't care if he's tall its so simple!"

Yeahh, I'd buy that. I don't think we know Wave 4, only Breakdown from it. So, chance of: Prime Universe Optimus, Prime Universe Ratchet, Prime Universe Starscream, Universe Megs, ect.

Why would that be the case? Mini-cons are human-sized TFs.

Not literally. I'm saying there is a possible cost to skipping if you want UT characters that don't look like G1 characters reimagined.

If anybody wants to see the original Cybertron 2006 Metroplex figure, I just uploaded a review that figure on YouTube.
