Ark had both of the golden disks, items never touched by the ark, but he can't have one cyber key that he actually did have in the series

Second off, as expected, he’s on my birthday/Christmas wish list for this year. More so now with BlackZarak finally on the way (arriving Thursday) and him needing an Autobot Titan to beat up on until I can find Fort Max for a decent price

 

As I’ve said in other threads, this is the one character I never expected to get an update. Now now with the Nitro convoy rumor, we only have two figures to go to complete the Galaxy Force planet leaders!

People need to stop saying stuff like this. The UT will show up again. It's got too many name value characters to mine for nostalgia down the road to just abandon.

 

Also remember that the leaked screen did NOT mention Drill Bit at all, so he was likely dropped long before that. Apollux just said he saw a proposal for him, not that he would be included.

 

maybe he just hasn't been revealed yet? That or they decided to release him separately somehow like as a pack in with another figure like the generations selects deluxe releases have been doing with the accessory packs.

Either way I feel like we will still get Drillbit somehow, even if he's not included directly.

As for the key... its a single piece of plastic! and dummy slots are literally no extra effort than they already do when detailing these things.

I already have the original golden giant planet key. so this doesn't effect me as much as it does others, but its still dumb its not there.

 

every non G1 or Movie figure should come with a FAQ about the character so the chunk of the fandom that is mystified whenever things like this exist learns something. maybe a hyperlink to the tfwiki article.

like, i'm not trying to gatekeep, but a lot of transformers fans seem disturbingly unaware other shows exist or the basics about them. there's not a lot of cartoons and since a lot of detractors of certain series never even watched them, it seems like they get an underdeveloped popular opinion.

Yeah but those disks were more like accessories for the line as a whole and the Golden Disks were part of Kingdom's story. Kind of like how Rodimus Prime came with a ton of blast effects, when really the purpose was to answer fan demand for a bunch of them to spread around collections.

For people who know the Cybertron series, yes. (and imagination goes a long way even if it wasn't a working gimmick)

for everyone else, obviously not.

my issue isn't necessarily its lack of inclusion, but rather it should have been anyway because of how simple it would have been to do so.

 

Ark also had giant chunks of alt mode missing on either side and nothing to close up the gaps left when you folded out the hands.

 

The robot mode looks great - like the original - even though they normalized the proportions ever so slightly (I never like that). The improved worker mode is also sweet but man, the altmode is still the same altmode; it was bad back then and it’s bad now. Arguably even worse because it’s 4 times as big now (volume-wise) so you’ll be looking at a giant 'what’s that?' in your house. And withs no gimmicks/extra's, the choice is easy for me: I'll keep the money and the space for higher priority Titans.

There is still enough wow factor here though, so in response to all the fears about the performance of this Titan: I think it's gonna sell just fine.

Hopefully we get the others. Cause I'm curious to see if Hasbro would do the easiest repaint for Evac and do SG Galvatron.

 

Except that is how it works a lot of the time sadly. They stopped making leader class decepticons for the movies based on the sales figures of the 2007 figures. And that wasn’t even from completely poor sales, just that the autobots sold more.

Also, the nemesis has been on the side of Motormaster's box, and now it's pretty prominently featured in this box. Hmmm...

 

No offense at all, but I clearly said that I was talking about people that said he was Cartoon G1 accurate or did I not?

 

and it doesn't bother you at least a tiny bit? that something integral to the portrayal to the character was left out even though it would have been easy to accomplish?
