I couldn't have asked for a better updated Kickback with THAT much TLC given to its G1 source! Bring on the rest!
Boring transformation, but it's Kickback, so no surprises there. Looking forward to getting this guy on my shelf!
Wow, this will fit in nicely with my S1 Decepticon crew! I'll admit, the Legends version does the insect waaaay better, which was always a nitpick of mine. G1's Insecticons barely looked like insects, because of their mechanical nature, aside from the deluxe versions. This new Legacy version carries on that tradition, but damn, I'm super happy with the robot mode!
If all you want is to have ANY Kickback in your collection, then sure. But BC Kickback certainly doesn't belong on a Generations shelf. And as well-priced as that set was, it's still more expensive than the Legacy version per figure.
Definitely not for a MP collection, but a perfect CHUG Kickback for my son. I am tempted to buy a few of these Insecticons for myself to hang from the ceiling in my office in flying insect form to be my flying Insecticon army swarm.
Well, that's Kickback all right. Nothing more, nothing less. The Energon swords are cool though. I wish Arcee wasn't reviewed last since she seemed like the most interesting.
Looks great. Yeah the transformation is boring and the locust mode is…what it is. But like the guy in the video said, people asked for a more G1 insecticons and this is exactly what we got. Kickback was always my least favorite Insecticons because of his boring alt mode, but I’m really happy of what we’re getting. When they were next to each other in robot mode, the TR one almost look like a happy meal toy now
Here’s shots of my Decepticon case: (Taken JUST now!) Still a work in progress so don’t mind the mess. Top shelf. Middle shelf. The blob on the LH Side in back is Siege Shockwave. It needs to be elevated somehow. RED Screamer is a placeholder for Amazon’s Coronation Screamer, and hopefully the upcoming Blitzwing will be good enough to swap out the Headmaster one I got here. If not, I really need to re-think things. Bottom shelf. Current plan is to put a mini shelf on either side of Scorp half way up for Cyclones and Scourge. The area above Scorp will have a shelf with enough room for Badcube’s Bugs. Then I might be done with my Decepticons.
