I found myself using a lot of ROTF figures to build Nemesis Prime's Dead-verse army.

There's a couple more I have stored away that could be used as Jhiaxus minions.

Bit basic for me but can appreciate the homage.

Uh... that's not how it works. Retailers can reduce supply of a particular toy line if they're trying to clear space for a different line, but they don't distinguish the marketability of individual figures. Jhiaxus is a Voyager figure, so expect as much stock of him as Starscream or Apeface.

I have doubts about that. Vector Prime has a notable "cape" motif to his bot mode that this guy lacks. Also the transformation wouldn't work super well. One of VP's most notable character traits is the spark in his chest, but the chest on Jhiaxus ends up as the nosecone on the jet. You'd have an awkward jet with a spark for the nosecone and too-small wings if you tried to get VP from this mold.

If I had to pick an existing mold for VP I would choose SS86 Scourge, although that would still be very off.

Or, you can just grab the universe 2008 Vector Prime which IS a Chug figure, technically.

Oh good, he is a big Voyager after all! As out-of-left-field as it is, he's the perfect size if they ever want to reshell him into a Stormbringer Jetfire, and while he's definitely smaller than I'd want Thunderwing to be, at least he wouldn't be shorter than Optimus and Megatron.

I'm on the fence about getting G2 Megatron. I agree the mold isn't as accurate as I'd like, but I still really love that deco...

Oooof....eeeesh....that 90s neon puts such a strain on my eyes, lol! BUT...I have very fond memories of G2, at least at first (I loved Derek Yaniger's art style in issue G2#1 and was really PO'd he sort of fluffed off from the series). Any how, I will definitely get this figure!

Personally I'm hoping that with the G2 love we're getting this year, next year will lead into a Leader G2 Megs all bulked out like Galvatron is.

Hoping it's pimped out in recolors just like Galvatron as well.

Yeah, hopefully, we get both regular G2 Megatron and the Combat Hero version because I need that purple Megatron! :lol  Seriously, that was my Megatron growing up since I never had the G1 figure since my mom refused to a) buy a toy that turned into a real-looking gun and b) being born in '81 she didn't start getting me more complex and expensive Transformers until the '86/'87 lines. So, yeah, very fond memories of that one. :D

Off the top of my head we have for color redecos...

    Toy colors
    Comic colors
    Combat Hero colors
    KayBee Toys Bludgeon colors
    Reverse Convoy colors/remold

I'm sure I'm missing something, but goddamn it, I need a comic G2 Megatron on my shelf, as I just couldn't bring myself to open the crappy (IMO)Selects G2 Megs from last year, and will probably just sell him off soon.

I sold mine off months ago because it just didn't work for me after getting it in hand. Especially since that Earthrise version of Megatron is kind of a turd impo.

    Yup, it is. :lol

    Anyone want a sealed Selects G2 Megs?

I really should get around to picking up a Laser Optimus to show support for G2 stuff, but thanks to life events, what money I have saved up for TFs this year, might be the last expendable cash I have for a good long while, so I'm trying to be more picky now thanks to that, and of course the lovely price increases that keep on happening.

With all those repaints, a new G2 Megatron mold would be a hit for Hasbro.

Did they let an intern design this alt mode? It was bad enough the jet was so far off and missing one of the trademark design elements, plus he had a big forgettable box under his spooky vehicle mode, but seeing here that the cockpit being hollow from underneath as well is just galling. I know some fans are never gonna transform him and they're thrilled to have Jhiaxus at all, to them I congratulate, but for the total experience at $34 this should really be a better Transformer. Maybe the abandoned arms could have helped fill that space.

This guy looks solid but the alt mode is a little disappointing. He looks like a CW jet. Like a bad CW jet. I do like how you can see his face in the cockpit, I never get bored with that gimmick. Personally I dislike the flat guns, too. They always look so wimpy. His face, head, chest, and bot articulation are all fantastic.

Wasn't he pretty much the toy colors?

That's why I didn't add him, but if I'm wrong then yeah, that's another deco to add. :)

I'm so overwhelmed by this figure. I love it. I've waited since the G2 Marvel comics run for him to exist. It's been a very long wait, a really long run, and I'm happy. I think he looks incredible. He's everything I wanted in a Jhiaxus figure.

Megastorm has dark grey/green spots instead of purple. Only his cannon stays purple. The Anime has less spots that are symmetrical instead of all over the place.

I thought they would use his colors for the Seige mold since G2 Megatron colors was used for ER.
