My OG Inferno could never stand up in ant mode. He had that squashed ant look going from the moment I got him.
He's always been a little unstable, but I don't recall him flat out collapsing like he did in the video back when I got him.
theres some degradation that start when he's out of packaging due to manipulation i think, both mine and Cerberus's were stiff as possible when they were first opened (takara for cerberus, mine was an european release) but years later, even without transforming them that much, they show weakness in the ball joint articulations (the takara one only on his transparent parts), maybe the plastic used isnt that resilient to friction and get eroded too fast when he's moved around...
For the Royalty, indeed! I top off my look at Legacy with Inferno. I adored the original Beast Wars lad and custom painted him years ago. Herein', I compare that to the new guy. Who knows, maybe Legacy will meet or even exceed the original.
